A procession crosses a paved temple courtyard toward two tall gopurams, the white-plastered towers of a South Indian temple. In the centre, a man with a swept-back dark hairstyle wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl and a long rudraksha-style garland with a gold-coloured pendant, walking barefoot. Around him, saffron-clad sannyasis and men in white dhotis and shirts walk in a group, some carrying bags and cloth satchels, and one holds a small bundle. Pillared stone mandapas and a lamp post frame the scene under an overcast sky.
