A home shrine set up for daily puja, photographed head-on. In a gold-framed photo at the back, a smiling young man with long dark hair wears an orange robe and a long beaded necklace with a pendant, raising one hand in greeting; a banyan-root backdrop surrounds him. A large framed print to the right shows a blue-skinned Shiva deity with a trident, crescent, ornate necklaces and earrings, seated with a hand raised. Both images are garlanded with red and yellow marigold-style flower garlands. On a silver tray in the foreground sit a pair of black sandals (padukas) decorated with blue flowers and yellow blossoms, bowls of rice with a gravy-like dish, a small brass figure, a lit tea-light in a brass lamp, and white jasmine strands. Smaller statues, a red and orange artificial lotus, and a small tin of kumkum sit on the altar. The shrine is arranged for a puja offering.
