May 31 20182018-05-31May 31 20182018-05-31Close-up photo of a person seated in ritual posture, wearing saffron-orange robes and multiple rudraksha malas, one wrist wrapped with rudraksha beads. The right hand holds a small brass hand bell with a flared rim, fingers closed around its handle. A ring is visible on one finger, and an orange cushion lies beside the seated figure. Only hands, forearms and torso are visible; no face is shown. The bell suggests puja or chanting, but the framing shows only a hand and bell.2013-03-01Close-up photograph of a priest's hand gripping a polished brass handbell by its handle during puja. The wrist wears a red cord bracelet with rudraksha beads and gold-toned spacers, and a garland of pink lotuses, white jasmine and gold beads hangs at the right edge. Behind the bell is ornate gold embroidery on red cloth, and a brass oil lamp with a lit flame sits at the left. The bell's hanging clapper is visible below. Only one arm and hand are visible, so no full person is shown.2017-05-24Close-up photo of a hand gripping a brass hand bell with a loop handle during ritual worship. The wrist wears beaded bangles. Beside it a gold-plated ornate lion-like or deity figure is draped with a red cloth, and a flower garland with orange-red blooms, yellow flowers and gold-foil wrapped stems hangs at left. Hanging brass oil lamps with yellow cords appear at right against a dark backdrop. Only a hand and arm are visible, with no face shown.2017-05-24Close-up photograph of a person's hand ringing a brass handbell held by a chain during puja. The wrist wears a beaded bracelet with metallic studs. Behind, a deity murti or figure is draped in orange-red and yellow marigold garlands and sparkly gold-and-orange fabric. Beside the bell hangs a brass hanging oil lamp with yellow cords and lit wicks, against a dark background.2017-05-24May 31 20182018-05-31June 09 20172017-06-09September 26 20112011-09-26Close-up photo of a ritual scene: a hand with beaded bangles holds a brass handbell by its handle near a brass hanging lamp with yellow cords. Behind them, red and orange marigold garlands and a gold-coloured ornamented object are visible, with a dark background. The bell and lamp suggest puja worship, though only the hand is visible as a person.2017-05-24September 26 20112011-09-26Close-up photo of a seated person's upper body and hands during a ritual. The figure wears a thick pink and white flower garland with gold bead ornaments, gold bangles on the wrist and upper arm, and a reddish-orange cloth draped over the shoulder. The hands are held open in a mudra-like gesture above a maroon cushion with an orange cloth. On the left stands a small silver bowl and a silver cylindrical vessel on a tray. Blurred gold and orange ritual objects fill the background. Because the image shows only hands and torso, no face is visible and the person's identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone; the setting suggests a temple puja or satsang.2013-05-27
