Outdoor flag hoisting ceremony on a paved courtyard beneath palm trees. A tall golden dhvaja pillar with a saffron flag is being raised by two men in orange robes holding ropes, one bare-chested with rudraksha malas. Nearby a dark stone Nandi bull sits draped in a red cloth. A group of about a dozen people in saffron and orange robes stand in a line behind the pillar, some playing drums, while others in white dhoti-style clothing stand at the right. A framed deity image rests on a stand beside the pillar.
