Wide outdoor photo of a large homa or yagna gathering on bare earth. Hundreds of devotees sit in rows on white plastic chairs and on the ground behind small brick fire pits, each with a small offering arrangement of coconuts, flower or leaf bundles and sacred ash. Most wear white, with some in orange, green, pink and blue saris. A flat field stretches toward a line of trees, palm trees and utility poles under an overcast sky. No individual can be confidently identified as a person from appearance, so no candidate is claimed.
