A long-haired man in orange robes and a rudraksha-style bead necklace holds a brass plate of pink flower petals with an orange cloth bundle on it, possibly a ceremonial offering. Behind him, several men in white shirts and white dhotis stand with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, one wearing a gold bracelet and a gold chain. A man at right in white with an orange shawl also joins palms. Coconuts and a brass vessel sit at the lower right edge. The frame is a photograph with a copyright notice overlaid.2008-11-11November 11 20062006-11-11November 11 20062006-11-11 +1 copiesOutdoor photograph under a corrugated shelter with trees behind. In the foreground, a figure with long, dark, curly hair wrapped in an orange saffron cloth, seen from behind, faces a group of devotees. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti wears a rudraksha mala and an orange shawl, hands pressed together in anjali. Behind him, an older man and several women in white saris stand with palms joined in prayer, one with gold bangles. Two women are at the left edge, also in white, with hands folded. The setting suggests a welcome or greeting ritual at a temple or ashram.2008-11-11A photograph of an indoor ritual reception. A central man with long, swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron garment, a rudraksha mala of dark beads, and a gold necklace; his bare shoulders are visible, and he holds the hands of a man in a white short-sleeved shirt who bows his head toward him. Beside him, a shaved-headed attendant in orange robes and a gold necklace stands near a silver tray. On the left, a man in white shirt and gold bracelet presses his palms together in greeting. On the right, a priest with a shaved head, white forehead markings and glasses holds a silver plate with offerings. Other devotees stand in the background before a draped, decorated hall. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), the central figure in saffron with long hair, rudraksha mala and gold necklace, receiving the bowing devotee.2010-11-23October 08 20062006-10-08A photograph of an outdoor gathering with a man in the foreground wearing an orange saffron shawl, a long rudraksha mala with large beads, and a yellow-orange tilak on his forehead; his long, dark, swept-back hair falls to his shoulders and he holds his palms together in anjali. Behind him, devotees in white dhotis with gold borders and a man in a teal checked shirt stand with hands folded in prayer. Blurred orange and red structures and greenery form the background. The appearance of the foreground man, with long hair, saffron shawl and rudraksha mala, is a person candidate.2011-10-07Photograph of devotees in an indoor hall paying respects with folded hands (anjali) to a figure in orange saffron robes at right. The person at right has long, dark, wavy hair, a dark rudraksha-style mala with gold beads, gold bangles and an orange garment with a gold border, and stands behind a low wooden podium. Several men stand in a line in white dhotis and shirts, some with white shawls over the shoulder and one with a red tilak on the forehead. An elderly man in a white shirt sits at left with hands joined. Behind them are ornate wall decorations and a purple bird logo at top left. The right-side figure's cues are appearance-based, so this is a probable identification as a person, shown in person receiving devotees.2011-11-09Outdoor photo of a figure in saffron-orange robes with long, swept-back dark hair, a red bindi on the forehead and a heavy gold ceremonial necklace, standing with palms pressed together in anjali mudra and eyes lowered. Behind them, blurred figures in white and yellow shawls stand in a line near a palm-lined ground with stone structures.2010-02-12A photograph of a devotional blessing line under a dark metal-framed tent roof. A man in an orange robe with a long rudraksha mala and long swept-back dark hair places his hand on the head of a man in a pale shirt who has his palms pressed together in prayer. Beside them, a man in an orange robe holds a silver tray with a gold-coloured object on it. A shaved-headed man in white ritual clothing with a white forehead mark stands at the right edge. Other devotees in white and pale shirts wait behind. The scene reads as a blessing or darshan line.2010-11-01July 29 20082008-07-29June 12 20042004-06-12
