Night outdoor scene before a tall ornate gold-and-copper deepam lamp stand with a decorated base and a lit flame at its top, flanked by palm fronds. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and gold necklace stands holding a bell and lighting the lamp with a flame, smiling. Beside him, a shaved-headed priest in orange robes with a maroon-and-white border holds a silver plate, and another person stands at the right edge. A watermarked copyright line appears at the bottom right.

A woman in an orange saffron sari-style garment with a gold border and a red-orange flower garland holds a lit oil lamp aloft with her eyes raised upward while ringing a handheld bell. Beside her, a shaved-headed man in saffron robes with a red-and-white border holds a silver plate of offerings. A white-clad attendant stands at the right edge. Coconut palms rise in the dark background. Three people are visible.2010-11-12November 12 20102010-11-12Night photo of a tall, ornate copper deepam lamp-pillar on a raised stone platform, with a carved base and a white cloth wrapped around its shaft. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand beside it: one, with long hair, a red tilak and orange-beaded mala, holds a lit oil lamp aloft toward the pillar as part of an aarti; the other, bald and wearing an orange shawl with maroon-red edging, holds a silver tray. Palm fronds lean against the base, petals lie on the ground, and palm trees appear in the dark background. The scene looks like a lamp-lighting ritual.2010-11-12November 12 20102010-11-12 +1 copies
