A temple shrine scene with a priest in a bare-chested white dhoti standing before a deity murti of Lord Muruga, dark-faced and adorned with red and white flower garlands, a golden crown and a spear-like vel. Three women in saris stand with palms pressed together in prayer: one in an orange and dark brown outfit at left, one in a red and gold brocade sari in the centre-right, and one in a magenta sari at right. A brass tray with red marigold garlands, fruit, flower petals, a kalasha-style vessel and brass lamps sits on a green gold-patterned cloth in the foreground. Peacock feathers decorate the gold arched frame, and a blue-skinned deity figure stands at left. Blue fairy lights hang along the wall. This appears to be a puja or archana in progress.
