Outdoor photograph of a dwajarohanam flag-hoisting event beside a tall copper-coloured flagstaff wrapped with white cloth and a garland of yellow marigolds at its base. A figure in an orange-saffron robe stands on a raised white platform near the top of the frame, hands folded in namaskar; the figure has long dark hair, but the appearance is not certain enough to confirm identity. Around the pole, a crowd of devotees in white and cream clothing presses forward with palms joined in prayer; a woman in a beige shawl and a woman in a white sari with a braid are in front, and men in white shirts and dhotis stand nearby. Tall coconut palms and a bare tree form the backdrop under a pale sky.
