A black-and-white spotted cow stands with its head lowered over a woven bamboo basket filled with green fodder. Its head and horns are decorated with marigold and red flower garlands, peacock feathers tucked into the horns, and a brown braided headstall strung with brass bells. Yellow and red kumkum-style marks are painted on its forehead, and a beaded cord hangs at its side. The setting is a covered shed with a dirt floor, consistent with a gosala or cow shelter. No people are visible.
