A very large outdoor crowd of mostly men in white shirts and white caps fills the frame, packed densely behind a low bamboo barrier draped with a long red cloth. Orange saffron flags on bamboo poles stand at the left and right edges. Several people in the front row lean on the barrier, and a boy in a green sleeveless top stands at the right edge. A person at the top centre carries a metal vessel on their head. The scene appears to be a public gathering with a seated or standing audience facing a stage out of frame.
