Behind him, a younger person in an orange robe and a beaded mala stands on the marble floor near a tree. Green hills and terraced fields stretch into the distance.2012-07-30Outdoor photograph of six people standing in a line on a dry, sandy clearing with earth mounds and sparse grass, with a green tree-lined landscape and hazy sky behind. Most wear orange or saffron robes and turbans or headwraps; one figure in a bare-chested brown dhoti with gold borders stands in the centre, another in a brown dhoti with gold borders is at the right with a rudraksha-style mala, and a man in white shirt and grey trousers with a mala stands at the far right. A tall pole with a small fixture rises in the middle. Several figures face away or stand in profile, appearing to look toward the distant landscape.2013-10-19Outdoor photo on a dry, rocky hilltop with patchy grass and a wide hazy plain behind, a tall white lattice telecom tower and flowering red trees. A man in saffron-orange robes with a long swept-back hairstyle and a dark rudraksha mala hanging on his chest walks forward, hands together at his waist, eyes lowered; his orange sandals and draped robe are visible. Behind him a second person in orange holds a brass vessel. On the right a man in a maroon kurta and white dhoti, with a maroon shawl over his shoulder, walks beside him, and a red ornate umbrella is held at the top edge. He wears a leopard-print waist wrap, a layered rudraksha mala, and a gold necklace, with his long dark hair swept back, and he gestures outward with one hand. Behind him, several other people in orange robes and a woman in a teal top walk along the terrace. Mountains and terraced hillsides fill the background. The central figure wears a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, a long rudraksha mala, and carries a small object in his hands. Several companions in orange and red robes, and a man in a red kurta with white dhoti, follow closely. The sky is clear and pale.2011-05-24A hilltop viewpoint with white stone railings and steps overlooks a wide valley town under cloudy skies, with forested hills beyond. Two men in saffron-orange robes stand at the railing; the nearer one has long dark hair swept back, wears a leopard-print cloth at the waist, a beaded necklace and a loose orange shawl draped over his arm, while the second, shorter man wears a rudraksha mala. A small white-railed shrine with a stone structure and a garden sit on the grassy slope below. The pictured men are the subjects. Swamiji (probable) is the nearer man with long swept-back hair and ornate ceremonial clothing.2012-07-30February 04 20092009-02-04
