A photograph of an outdoor temple courtyard in early morning light with a tall copper-coloured flagstaff on a red stepped base, wrapped with marigold garlands and a rope hanging from its top. Tall coconut palms and shrubs surround a paved grey-brick floor. Small black stone shrines or lamps line the back area, and a small table with offerings sits beside the base. On the right, one person in white clothing bends near a low fire or smoke rising from the ground, apparently tending a fire pit. No one is clearly identifiable as a candidate for a person in this view.
