December 03 20112011-12-03 +1 copiesA silver-toned statue, a murti of a robed sannyasi, stands on a golden peetha/throne carved with a bird motif. The figure wears a red turban, red saffron-style robes, a gold necklace with a large ornate pendant and a rudraksha-style mala, and raises one hand in blessing. The statue is framed by a dense garland of yellow marigolds, red and purple flowers and green leaves, with a dark blue curtain behind. A gilded bird figure sits at the lower left. No physical people are visible. The statue is a depiction, not a person in the scene.2010-12-28December 22 20102010-12-22A metallic statue of a seated guru figure stands on a tiered golden pedestal before a dark maroon curtain, framed by an ornate gold arch. The figure wears a red turban with a red dhoti-style wrap and red shawl, a white beaded necklace and a large rudraksha-style pendant, and raises one hand in blessing. Garlands of yellow marigolds, purple flowers, red roses and green leaves drape around the arch and figure, with a red cloth draped over the base. This is a statue, not a living person, and the figure's identity cannot be established from the statue alone. A faint logo appears at the top left.2011-12-15A golden statue of a standing male figure in a red turban and red draped garment is the central subject, framed by a large arch of garlands in yellow, white, purple, maroon and green marigold-style flowers, with orange and gold fabric behind. The statue has a raised right palm in blessing and wears layered ornate gold and jewelled necklaces with a pendant. A small ornate gold throne or seat with carved peacock-like designs sits at the left edge, and a purple-flowered offering lies near the base. A dark blue curtain forms the backdrop. No living people are visible.2010-12-22December 22 20102010-12-22A golden statue of a standing sannyasi in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange head cloth, right hand raised in a blessing gesture, with a red beaded necklace and a bangle on the wrist. The statue stands within an arched frame of garlands in red, yellow, purple and white flowers, set against dark drapes with gilded decorative corners at the base. Because the figure is a statue, it is a depiction rather than a physical person.2011-12-12A life-size bronze-coloured statue of a seated sage in a red-pink robe and matching headwear stands on an ornate gilded throne with a tall carved arch. The statue wears a long gold chain and a large pendant, and its raised hand holds a small object. The throne and statue are heavily garlanded with yellow and white marigolds, purple flowers and green leaves, set against a dark blue curtain on a stage. A tiny purple logo appears at the lower left. The statue is a depiction, not a living person, so no physical people are present.2010-12-26December 01 20162016-12-01April 23 20122012-04-23A golden statue of a saint stands on a gilded pedestal against a deep blue curtain, draped with a thick garland of yellow marigolds, purple flowers and green leaves.
