A dense crowd of devotees gathers outside a small corrugated-metal shrine at dusk, pressing toward an open doorway. Many people stand with palms pressed together in anjali, and several wear white shirts and white dhotis. A man in a bright orange turban and orange garment stands near the centre, and a bare-chested man with a sacred thread is visible inside the doorway area. A woman in a green sari with gold border stands at lower left, and a woman with a long braid wears a white outfit at the centre. A tray of fruit and a lit flame are held up over the crowd on the right, and green leaf garlands hang across the shrine entrance. A white ornamental shrine structure and palm trees appear in the background.

A dense crowd of men in white shirts and white dhotis presses along a narrow lane between corrugated metal walls during a procession. Several men wear rudraksha malas. Some raise arms and hands toward a raised object in the background, and an open flame on a torch or lamp burns at left. A few bright yellow and orange flower garlands are visible among the crowd. The walls are covered with peeling layers of old printed posters. The people in front are seen from behind, and most faces are turned upward or sideways. No clearly identifiable figure in saffron or ornate attire is visible.

A dense crowd of men, women and children packs an open outdoor area under a tin-roofed canopy, many pressing forward with raised hands and phones. In the foreground a shaved-headed priest in white with a saffron-and-gold bordered cloth and a rudraksha mala stands at the bottom edge, while a man in a white shirt and a man in a checked pink shirt with a rudraksha mala guide the crowd. Elderly women in white and blue saris stand at right. Many people wear white dhotis and shirts; a young woman in an orange top stands in the upper centre. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person, so the scene is recorded only by roles and actions.

A dense outdoor procession moves along a village street with many devotees walking in the same direction. Most men wear white shirts and white dhotis, while others wear checked or striped shirts. Women in red, teal and green saris walk with flowers in their hair, and one woman has a long braid with white blossoms. Several people carry brass plates and offering trays, some topped with fruit or flowers. Saffron and orange flags fly on poles along the street, and a green banana plant and a canopy stand at the left. In the background a tall decorated float or structure with a raised cover sits among the crowd. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person from the visible cues.

A dense outdoor street crowd of mostly men and women in white shirts, white saris and light checked shirts presses around a decorated procession vehicle. The vehicle is hung with banana bunches, green leaves, marigold and orange garlands, and yellow and red draping. Many attendees wear white, and one woman in the foreground wears an orange sari with a flower garland in her hair. Red and white flags and white banners flutter above the crowd. Behind the crowd, a figure in a saffron-orange robe stands on the vehicle among attendants in white, though the face and identity are not clear enough to confirm who it is. Shopfronts, signboards and hanging paper pennants line the street.

A large outdoor crowd of devotees gathers on a stone-paved temple courtyard in front of a pink-and-cream temple gateway, with a tall gopuram visible at upper left. Many people in mostly white clothing stand or sit closely packed, several with hands folded in anjali mudra, and women wear white and pastel saris. Men wear white shirts and dhotis, some with vibhuti and sandalwood marks on their foreheads, and some wear rudraksha malas. Two seated white-clad figures sit on steps in the background, and a few children stand near the front. The mood is one of quiet devotional attention during a temple gathering.

A dense street crowd of men and some women gathers under a red and gold canopy hung with tassels during a procession at Rajapalayam. Many men wear white shirts and dhotis, while several young men wear saffron-orange shawls over white clothing and hold wooden poles. A woman in an orange sari stands at the centre, and a man on the right holds a brass plate with a lit offering and smoke rising. Shopfronts with painted signs and a hanging banner line the street behind the crowd.

Crowded temple scene during a ritual procession at a shrine decorated with marigold garlands, green leafy mango-type foliage and a colourful canopy. A bare-chested man in white dhoti with a red-orange cloth and rudraksha-style beads stands centre-left holding red flowers, with a man in white kurta and a woman in a green silk sari and gold jewellery beside him. Orange-robed sannyasis and white-clad devotees surround them, and a bare-chested attendant in a white dhoti carries a brass basket of offerings. A camera and a handheld device are visible at the right edge. No distinctive a person cues are clearly visible, so the identity is uncertain.

A village street procession in daylight under a partly cloudy sky, with palm trees and white-walled houses with terracotta-tiled roofs behind the crowd. At left, a decorated palanquin or float carries deity murti figures and is attended by men in white shirts and orange-clad attendants. Women in saris, many with flower garlands, carry brass trays of green leafy offerings on their heads. Men in white dhotis and shirts stand along the roadside watching, and several people in the foreground walk with the procession. Some figures appear partly obscured by the crowd.

A dense street crowd gathers outside a temple entrance with painted pillars and a tiled facade at Rajapalayam during a ratha paada yatra. Men in white shirts and mundus, some wearing rudraksha or white caps, press close around a central man who raises a hand and holds a brass tray with smoking incense and offerings. Behind them a long red and yellow canopy pole with tasselled fabric rises at left, and a yellow shawl hangs over a woman's shoulder in the foreground. Two hand-lettered banners with portrait photos hang from a building on the right, and a man on a rooftop or stair raises a hand. Smoke drifts across the scene.
