In the centre, a yellow JCB backhoe loader with its bucket lowered is positioned beside a green John Deere tractor pulling a green flatbed trailer, whose operator is seated in the cab. Excavated mounds of red soil surround the site, with a row of palm trees and a white boundary wall in the background under a pale sky. No people are clearly visible beyond the machine operators in their cabs.2006-11-16Outdoor construction site on bare red-brown earth with heaps of excavated soil. A red Massey Ferguson-style tractor with a green dump bucket pulls a grey trailer on the left. In the centre, a green John Deere tractor pulls a green trailer while a yellow front-loader is positioned beside it, with a driver in the cab. A man in a dark suit stands at the far right edge. Behind the site are rows of coconut palms, scattered houses and a white boundary wall under a pale blue sky.2006-11-16A construction site on bare reddish earth scattered with broken rock. A yellow JCB backhoe loader on the left digs and lifts soil with its bucket arm, dropping it into a blue-bodied tipper trailer hitched to a red Massey Ferguson tractor with a green canopy on the right. A worker in blue shirt and red helmet stands near the backhoe cab, and another person in a light shirt is partly visible at the left edge. Palm trees, a hillside cut and roadside vehicles sit in the background under a hazy sky.2009-12-15A yellow JCB backhoe loader works on a grassy verge beside a paved road, its bucket raised and digging arm extended after a storm. Bare, storm-damaged trees and palms stand behind it under a pale overcast sky. A concrete drain runs along the foreground. A lone man in a light shirt and dark lungi stands at the roadside on the right, and a motorcycle is parked beyond him. The scene shows cyclone clean-up work in the countryside of Pondicherry, with no visible ritual or a person presence.2012-01-06A construction site photograph showing a yellow backhoe loader digging at left, with an operator in its cab, and a red tractor pulling a grey flatbed trailer loaded with reddish earth at centre-right, driven by a person in dark clothing. Freshly excavated red-brown soil forms trenches and mounds in the foreground, and a long white boundary wall stands behind under a pale blue sky with wispy clouds. Two operators are visible; no ritual or devotional activity is shown.2006-11-16Outdoor construction work at an ashram-style compound with red-painted buildings and green metal roofs. A yellow mobile crane with a boom lifts a stone slab from a blue flatbed trailer towed by a red and white tractor. A man in an orange shirt stands on the trailer load of stone, while a worker in a dark top and a man in a striped shirt stand nearby. Stacks of cut stone paving slabs line a path, and a man in white shirt and dark trousers walks in the background.2016-09-08August 27 20162016-08-27November 16 20062006-11-16November 16 20062006-11-16
