A photograph of a large seated congregation inside a covered hall with a corrugated roof, decorated with hanging yellow, orange and multicolored patterned fabric cylinders. Rows of people sit on the floor facing a white-draped raised seat with a red and white square cushion at right. Near the seat, a man in a pink shirt sits cross-legged on a white mat beside a plate of flower garlands, red and white blossoms, folded orange cloths and banana-leaf plates. Women in saris, one in white with a pink border, press palms together in namaste, and a young boy in an orange shirt sits in front. Several men wear white. The scene looks like a satsang or darshan gathering.2008-04-07March 23 20082008-03-23A covered outdoor hall with a corrugated metal roof hosts a seated ritual gathering. Rows of devotees sit on mats along the left and centre, many in white, cream and pink saris, with men in white kurtas and dhotis. On the right a white-draped low seat with a red cushion stands beside rows of brass-rimmed plates filled with white flowers, and a tray of marigold and red offerings lies on the floor. Tall hanging banners with blue, red and yellow patterns and bird motifs decorate the ceiling. Pictures are displayed on the wall behind, and standing attendants move through the crowd. The scene suggests an abhishekam or puja offering with flower plates arranged in front of devotees.2008-04-07 +2 copiesJanuary 01 20072007-01-01 +1 copiesA large indoor hall with pale grey walls, a corrugated metal roof and exposed blue steel beams. Long rows of seated devotees fill the floor: women in colourful saris in blue, green, red, orange and white, many with hands pressed together in namaskar, and men in white dhotis and shirts seated at the back. Tall cylindrical hanging decorations in red, green, orange and yellow with painted motifs hang from the ceiling. A video camera on a tripod stands among the crowd near the front, and a speaker sits at the side of the hall. The scene suggests a satsang gathering in progress.2008-07-29March 22 20082008-03-22June 27 20102010-06-27July 29 20082008-07-29July 29 20082008-07-29A large hall with cream walls and an orange-carpeted floor holds a seated gathering of devotees facing forward. Most men wear white shirts and white dhotis, and many women wear white saris with coloured borders; a few wear pink, red or patterned clothing. Some sit on white plastic chairs at the back while others sit cross-legged on the floor. Decorative hangings with geometric patterns and orange fabric drapes frame the windows. The scene reads as a satsang or meeting, and the people appear attentive to something ahead of them out of frame.2010-07-06Photo 11729339July 29 20082008-07-29
