September 10 20142014-09-10September 10 20142014-09-10 +1 copiesA brass thali heaped with white jasmine-like flowers, red roses, orange and pink petals and a single green leaf sits on a magenta cloth with gold embroidery. Beside it are a brass oil lamp, a small brass cup with a ladle, a white conch shell, a brass bowl of turmeric-coloured powder and a second brass plate. Scattered orange and pink flowers lie on the floor at right. Behind the thali stands a small framed printed photograph of a seated figure in orange robes with a long-haired head, wearing a beaded necklace, in a tree-lined setting. No people are visible in the scene; this is a puja arrangement.2013-03-26Overhead view of a brass puja altar on a silver embossed cloth. At the top, a framed photograph of a smiling man in a saffron-orange turban and robe, framed by a garland of rudraksha beads, stands on a brass tray. Below it, a large brass plate holds rose petals, green leaves, gold coins and a few flower heads. Nearby are a brass oil lamp, a small brass vessel with a ladle, a folded maroon and gold cloth, a brass bell-shaped lamp stand, a shell conch, and a small plate of loose petals. No people are visible, only the altar arrangement.2014-09-10 +1 copiesSeptember 05 20142014-09-05A brass bowl filled with pink and red-and-white petals and three pink flowers sits in the foreground, with scattered white jasmine and petals around it. Behind it, a seated figure in a rust-red robe and an orange-beaded garland with white bead accents presses palms together in namaste, with a white tilak on the forehead, long dark hair and a beaded wristband. The image is a printed photograph on a dark background, with a gold ornate carving at upper left. This appears to be a pada-puja offering of flowers. Swamiji (probable): the figure wears distinctive orange beaded garland, long hair and rust-red robes, and is shown as a printed photo, so this is a depiction.2014-09-05A framed photograph on the right shows a smiling man in an orange-saffron turban with a red tilak on his forehead, wearing orange-saffron robes and a long dark hairstyle; the framed picture's caption reads Paramahamsa Nithyananda. On a red cloth in front of it are a brass puja plate with red rose petals, small brass bells, a lit brass oil lamp, a small brass bowl, and a brass bell at the left edge. No people are physically present in the scene.2014-05-05September 11 20132013-09-11September 05 20142014-09-05 +1 copiesA photograph of a devotional offering arrangement. A brass tray holds a cut-out printed figure of a smiling man with long dark hair, bare-shouldered in orange cloth with a large pale bead necklace, behind a small framed photograph of another smiling man in an orange turban and orange robe with a bead mala, hand raised in blessing. The tray is filled with pink lotus petals, orange and yellow petals, a pink lotus leaf, sprigs of green leaves and small white flowers, and a small bowl of dark seeds or berries. These are printed and framed images on objects, not physical people. a person is a page-stated appearance-based candidate here, but the printed images are depictions only.2013-10-21 +1 copiesOctober 21 20132013-10-21 +1 copiesClose-up photograph of a ritual offering tray on a green woven mat. White and pale yellow plumeria (frangipani) flowers with yellow centres sit on a brass plate alongside red and yellow petals and a yellow flower spray at left. A small brass bowl and a brass cup with a spoon rest on the right, with a silver ritual vessel in the background. No people are visible.
