A photograph of a large seated ritual gathering in a hall with red curtains and stacked red chairs. Many young women and men wear orange robes, rudraksha malas and white forehead markings, sitting cross-legged on the floor in rows divided by stanchion ropes. Some hold small papers and brass dishes, and a brass plate with offerings, flowers and a small lamp sits in front. In the upper left, a figure in white sits on a raised seat behind the rows; the figure is too distant and unclear to be identified, so this is a priest or attendant. Several people in white clothing are seated near the back.

A photograph of a large group of women and girls in orange robes seated on the floor of a hall with a red curtain backdrop during a ritual. Many wear rudraksha malas and forehead markings. Each sits before a silver tray holding brass plates of fruit, flowers, a small oil lamp and a brass vessel, and several perform hand gestures or pour from vessels. Behind them, a few people in white and orange sit among rows of red chairs. The scene suggests a padapuja-style group ritual, though the photograph itself shows only the offering trays and seated devotees. Several dozen people are visible.

In the foreground a girl with hands pressed together in anjali mudra wears an orange top with gold trim and a rudraksha mala; beside her a young girl in orange with a white forehead mark sits with folded hands. A boy in orange with a white tilak sits with hands together, and another girl in orange with a gold-trimmed garment holds her hands in prayer. Brass oil lamps, small kalasha-style vessels, offering plates and incense sticks lie on the white mat in front of them. Behind, adults in orange and white sit in rows in a hall with wooden panels and a blurred crowd.

A chain rope barrier with metal posts separates the rows, and red-carpeted steps and a white-robed figure appear at the top left.
