A bare-chested man in orange-red sacred dress stands at an outdoor setting, touching his forehead with his right hand in reverence. He wears a long rust-orange shawl over the shoulder, multiple rudraksha-style beaded malas, a gold ceremonial pendant necklace with a deity-form medallion, and a gold armlet on the upper arm. A white horizontal vibhuti line marks his forehead, and his hair is tied up in a knot. Behind him, a rolled rust-orange cloth lies beside a draped red curtain, with stone blocks and a blurred figure in the background.2015-11-16July 25 20142014-07-25A seated figure in a rust-red saffron wrap, with a sandalwood tilak and a hair bun, leans forward and reaches an arm toward a tall polished silver staff with engraved bands. In the other hand the figure holds a sheet of printed paper. Behind is a gold-toned draped backdrop, a gold ornate deity murti or ritual object at left, and a wooden drum-like instrument with a light skin head at right. The figure has a gold necklace and a red-thread wrist band. Appearance-based candidate: a person cues include the saffron-red clothing and gold ornamentation, but the face and features are not clearly visible.2014-08-02Side profile of a man with black hair tied in a topknot, looking down at a sheet of lined paper he holds in one hand while his other hand is raised palm-down in a gesture of speech. He wears an orange cloth with a gold border draped over his bare shoulder and several rudraksha beads around his neck. A white bandage or cloth wraps his forearm. Blurred people in light clothing stand in the background against a red backdrop.2011-09-06October 12 20142014-10-12October 11 20132013-10-11A photograph of a man seated in a dark red-orange robe, with a long gold-beaded necklace over bare shoulders, a hair bun, a yellow tilak on his forehead, and a red wristband. He holds a small white slip of paper in one hand, while his other arm is raised to rest against a silver ceremonial staff topped with a round silver finial. Behind him are golden ceremonial fittings, a dark wooden form with a carved serpent, and a golden backdrop. Drums are partly visible at the lower right. The man's appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to establish identity, and the page's a person claim is not corroborated by the visible cues alone.2014-08-02October 24 20152015-10-24January 18 20132013-01-18 +1 copiesOctober 18 20122012-10-18A man in a maroon-red saffron-toned robe stands indoors, looking down and reading a folded sheet of paper held in both hands. He wears a thick multi-strand necklace of orange beads with large gold ceremonial beads, gold hoop earrings, a white horizontal tilak across the forehead and a red bindi. His hair is long and swept back. Behind him, out of focus, a few people stand and a warm, lit interior with a hanging lamp is visible. The subject appears to be reading notes during a talk.2013-04-07 +1 copiesA photograph of a man seated on a dark red velvet chair, wearing a rust-orange draped garment that leaves his shoulder bare, with a large rudraksha mala of brown beads across his chest. He has a hair bun, a white tilak on his forehead, and looks down smiling while reading a small white card held in both hands. Behind him are yellow flowers, a silver trident and a gold-coloured drape. A second person's hands, folded in namaste, are visible at the lower right edge. The figure matches the a person appearance cues (rudraksha mala, orange clothing, seated on a throne-like chair), so this is a person present in the scene.2015-02-01
