The figure wears an orange hooded top with a gold-bordered orange wrap over the shoulder and orange trousers, with a long rudraksha mala hanging from the neck. Dark hair falls forward as the head is bowed. The water has grey-blue tones and a sandy shore. No other people are visible. The scene suggests a ritual dip or water offering at a river edge.2011-08-05A photograph of a single person standing outdoors on a rock beside a tree, seen from behind and partly in profile. The person wears a loose saffron-orange cloth draped over one shoulder and wrapped around the body, and holds a long wooden staff in the right hand. Long, dark, wavy hair falls past the shoulders. Dry leaves cover the ground, with green grass, a chain-link fence and a mound of reddish earth behind. A small purple circular emblem appears at the upper left of the image.2006-10-25Photograph of a woman standing with her back to the camera at the edge of a surf-washed beach, facing the breaking waves. She wears an orange sleeveless top and a red-orange sari with a gold border, with an orange-and-gold shawl draped over one shoulder, and her dark hair is pulled back in a bun. Foamy white surf runs across the sand at her feet, and a partly visible person in white stands at the right edge of the frame. No ritual, deity or festival is visible.2008-06-09October 25 20062006-10-25A photo of a person standing at the water's edge on a wet sandy beach, seen from behind. The figure wears an orange sleeveless top with a red-orange wrapped garment with gold border drawn across the body, and a red-orange cloth with gold edging over the shoulder. Dark hair is tied up in a bun. Foamy waves roll in behind. Only the back of the person is visible, so identity cannot be established from appearance.2008-06-09A figure with long, dark, swept-back hair wears a flowing saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder and stands waist-deep in a river, extending one arm outward over the water under a pale hazy sky. Behind and to the left, several people stand on a riverbank ledge with moored wooden boats; one wears a white t-shirt, another a grey hooded top, another a white shawl. Two men stand barefoot in the shallows on the right, one in a green sweater and checked lungi. Sunlit water reflects the figure. Appearance-based candidate: Swamiji (probable), shown bathing in the river at a sangam with his distinctive long hair and saffron robe.2006-01-08October 18 20042004-10-18A man with long, wild dark hair stands by a river, wearing an orange saffron cloth draped over one shoulder and around his waist, with his bare upper body visible. He looks downward with his right hand raised near his chest, fingers slightly curled, as if offering or gesturing. Behind him is grey-brown flowing water. Only one physical person is visible.2006-01-08Outdoor photo at dusk on a riverbank, with a red and multicolored tasseled canopy at top left. A man with long swept-back dark hair and a small red tilak on his forehead, wearing orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace, stands in profile with his right palm raised in a greeting gesture. Behind him, a figure in an orange turban and orange robe carries a tall silver staff, and another orange-clad person stands at left. A golden trident-like finial rises above the scene. Beyond them, the river shows bamboo fishing stakes, small boats, and seated people on the sandy bank under a pale sky.
