Outdoor ritual scene on stone steps beside a rocky slope. A seated sannyasi in saffron-orange turban and rust-red robe with gold trim rests a hand on the head of a kneeling man in white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl, his palms pressed together. Behind them a woman in a rust-red sari with gold border holds a yellow fringed umbrella, and a second woman in red sits to the left. A silver-framed ornate panel stands near a golden-legged wooden stool with leopard-print cushion. Smooth white stones and a small red rug lie in front, with a yellow-fringed umbrella overhead. A seated figure in a rust-orange robe and saffron-yellow turban sits on a low gilded wooden stool with a leopard-print cushion, raising both palms toward a kneeling man in a white kurta with an orange shawl, glasses and a shaved head, who sits with hands pressed in anjali. Behind the seated figure stands a woman in a rust-red sari and a long mala, holding a golden umbrella with fringe over a silver-framed ornate throne. To the left, a woman in a red sari sits with hands at her mouth. Further back, a figure in an orange shawl sits on the steps. A red-and-gold rug lies on the ground with white stones. Both kneeling-figure and seated figure appear to be in a blessing exchange; the seated figure's appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm a candidate.2014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19January 19 20142014-01-19Outdoor ritual scene at dusk with several saffron-clad devotees. A young man in orange dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala, forehead marked with white tilak, stands at left beside a kneeling initiate in orange with a white cloth band across the forehead, hands folded in namaskar. On the right, a seated figure in a red-orange turban, bare-chested with a pink and blue flower garland and gold-trimmed orange shawl, extends a hand over the initiate's head in blessing. Behind them, more saffron-robed men and a bald priest with a bowl stand near a decorated altar with a deity murti and banners in the background.2015-08-09Outdoor ritual photograph. A person with long dark hair, wearing an orange-brown turban, gold bangles, a gold ceremonial necklace with rudraksha beads, and a dark brown garment, sits on a red cushioned throne with a gold-embossed back. He touches the forehead of a shaved-headed devotee in orange robes who bows before him while a metal pipe or shower-like fixture pours water over them. Behind them, a woman in orange sari with a rudraksha mala sits on the steps, and white-clad people and orange-robed devotees sit on tiered red steps under a canopy of green banana-leaf decorations. A red-and-white building and bunting appear in the background. The water and bowing suggest an abhishekam-style blessing.2013-07-22Outdoor photo on a red-carpeted stepped platform. A man in an orange-brown turban and orange-brown robe sits on an ornate red and gold throne, wearing a long beaded rudraksha-style mala, layered gold necklaces and gold armbands; his right hand rests on the bald head of a devotee in a white kurta who bows low in front of him. Next to them stands a silver staff topped with a small silver ornament. Seated and standing figures in white and orange robes sit on the steps behind, with potted banana plants and a fence beyond.
