In the centre of the water a decorated raft or platform carries an ornate golden structure with a kalasha-like form and garlands, with fountains spraying on either side. Along the right-hand steps, many men in white dhotis and shirts stand and sit beside rows of black Shiva lingams set in round basins, some holding pooja items or pouring water, which suggests abhishekam. Devotees in white and a few in orange and red clothes occupy the tiers on the left. A multi-storey red building and palm trees stand behind.2016-03-07 +1 copiesWide view of a large outdoor ritual pool with stepped red-tiered seating on both sides. Rows of people sit on the steps along the left bank, many bare-chested or in white dhoti-style cloth, with black stone shivalinga-shaped vessels set in front of them and brass kalasha pots beside. A central raised platform holds a dark stone structure and a decorated puja altar with red and white cloth. Red flags stand along the railings and a woman in an orange-red garment and a man in orange robes stand near the water. Greenery and a red building frame the background. Several people sit in the foreground in white with a long-haired woman in white and a red-bordered cloth at left.2017-07-24A large outdoor ritual at a stepped tank with a tiered amphitheatre. Many men in saffron-orange robes and white dhotis sit on red steps before rows of black Shiva lingams set on black yoni-shaped bases, with brass kalasha pots, bells and flower offerings placed on them. Some seated participants hold brass bells or lamps, and the crowd is dense across the terraces. At the right, a tall white lingam-shaped monument rises from a raised platform near the water, and a figure in orange stands in the foreground. The pool is pale turquoise and the scene has a ritual abhishekam feel with lingam worship.2017-07-24July 24 20172017-07-24A large outdoor stepped amphitheatre-style abhishekam hall with rows of black Shivalingams on red-tiled tiers. Many men in orange and white dhotis and orange shawls sit cross-legged before the lingams, with brass bowls, flowers and ritual vessels set in front of them. A central raised stone Shivalinga and a dais with a seated figure in gold and orange stand across a large empty pool at right, with red flags along the edges and a pink multi-storey building behind. Several figures in orange robes stand on the steps, and an attendant in white is at the right edge. Ritual abhishekam chanting appears to be underway. The a person field is unsure because no candidate's appearance can be confirmed from the distance.2017-07-24December 27 20162016-12-27A large outdoor ritual scene at a stepped stone tank with greenish water and a tall decorated kalasha-like ornamental structure in red, yellow and white stripes at its centre. Dozens of people in white ritual clothes sit on the stone steps and the tiered terraces, many women in white saris with red-bordered dress and gold trim, some with flowers in their hair. Rows of black Shivalinga-shaped stone pillars stand on the steps, with brass pots and lamps placed beside them, and devotees perform abhishekam-style offerings. Red brick buildings and a hillside frame the background.2015-07-31July 31 20152015-07-31A wide view of an outdoor ritual at a stepped temple pool with a central raised platform. Many seated participants in rows fill the terraced stands, most shirtless or in white dhotis, some in saffron or orange robes. Before them stand black stone shivalingams on the steps, with brass bowls and small lamps placed among them. Red flags line the railings. In the pool a figure stands in water, and a decorated dais with a figure in ornate red and gold sits at the pool's edge. Above, a tall black stone structure rises near the back wall. Trees with white flowers frame the upper left. The scene suggests a large-scale abhishekam or puja.2017-07-24 +1 copies
