Outdoor photo of a temple ritual. A man with long dark hair and a white forehead mark, wearing a saffron-orange garment and orange beaded necklace with pink and yellow flower garlands, holds a silver bell in one hand and a lit oil lamp (aarti) in the other, offering it toward a painted reddish-pink deity murti at left decorated with yellow flower garland. Palm fronds appear at upper right against a pale sky.2013-03-11A man in a rust-red robe and gold-trimmed saffron-gold dhoti performs an aarti outdoors, holding a lit oil lamp in his right hand and a silver handbell in his left. He wears a thick red and gold flower garland and a beaded gold-and-rudraksha style necklace, with white tripundra vibhuti and a red kumkum dot on his forehead, eyes closed in meditative focus. Palm fronds and green foliage fill the background under an evening sky. Ritual objects are clearly visible; the figure appears to be a priest performing puja, and identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2014-11-26December 18 20112011-12-18Outdoor photo of a man performing aarti before a carved wooden shrine decorated with white jasmine garlands and red flowers. He wears a long rudraksha mala and a white vibhuti line with a red kumkum dot on his forehead, and he looks down at the flame, apparently performing a small fire offering. A blurred figure in white stands in the background at left. Appearance-based cues including the rudraksha mala and saffron robe make him a person candidate, present in person, though his face is not used for identification.2009-06-15July 07 20092009-07-07A man stands outdoors under coconut palms, holding a brass arati lamp with a flame in his left hand and a small brass handbell in his right.
