Outdoor photo of a group walking along a stone-paved path beside a carved dark stone temple wall with tiered niches. In front, a bearded man with glasses wears an orange shawl and dhoti and holds a long decorated staff wrapped in yellow and pink thread. Beside him, a younger man with long swept-back hair wears an orange robe and a long beaded golden garland with a purple cloth draped over his shoulder. Behind them are men and women in white and orange, including a man in white with a rudraksha mala, and a woman in white with a red bindi. Green trees and sunlight fill the background.

Several men in saffron-orange robes walk barefoot along a paved temple lane lined with coloured floor kolam designs. In the foreground a bald man with a red bindi and white forehead markings wears a gold and bead necklace and a pendant, holding a folded pink cloth. Beside him a man in an orange robe wears a gold necklace, and at the right a young man wears a long garland of yellow and white flowers and a gold chain over an orange robe. Men in white dhotis and a beige-clad man with a white shawl are behind them, along with a bald man in white and a photographer with a camera. Pink temple walls, white sculpted animal figures on the roofline, palm trees and a gopuram tower frame the scene under an overcast sky.

A procession of saffron-robed sannyasis walks along a narrow concrete path through dry scrub and bare trees under a hazy sky. In the centre, a figure in a deep maroon-red robe wears a thick orange-yellow marigold garland and walks barefoot, with a sannyasi in orange on each side. Several men in orange shawls and orange-gold dhotis carry tall white staffs or poles. Litter lies along the edge of the path and a low concrete kerb borders the right side. The scene looks like a walking procession or pilgrimage in a hilly area. Identity is not established from appearance: the figure in the centre shows only a garland and robe, so there is no distinctive cue for a person.

Photograph of a procession walking along a pink temple wall at Tiruvannamalai, with white stone figures of animals on the roofline and a hill and palm trees behind. In front, a bald man in orange robes with a red-trimmed shawl, gold beaded necklace with a pendant, and a tilak walks barefoot. Beside him, a long-haired figure in orange robes wears a thick garland of yellow and white flowers and a gold necklace, with a white forehead mark. Behind them, other orange-robed attendants and a man in white dhoti and shirt with a shoulder bag walk among a crowd. The ground has a painted kolam pattern in yellow and red.

A seated man in a red-maroon turban and maroon robe with gold-yellow borders sits on a stone step against a sandstone wall, wearing a marigold and white jasmine garland and a gold pendant over rudraksha beads. He rests one hand on a red patterned mat and holds a tall silver staff with engraved decoration, smiling. Behind him stand devotees in maroon and gold-bordered robes with rudraksha malas; one holds a small metal cup and another a water bottle. Setting appears to be a stone temple ghat in Varanasi.

Outdoor procession on a street beneath a large leafy tree, with a utility pole and a roadside shop at left. Several men in saffron and orange robes walk together. The man in front wears a tall headdress of flowers and white plumes, marked with a trident-topped staff, and holds a long pole. Behind him, others in orange hold a shawl, and two men at left wear yellow garments with white dhotis. At far right, a smiling man in a bright orange robe wears a dark rudraksha mala and a gold ceremonial necklace, with tripundra marks on his forehead. The setting suggests a temple procession, though no printed text is visible.

Photograph of saffron-robed men walking barefoot along a temple courtyard paved with colourful kolam rangoli designs in yellow, blue, green and red. The foremost man, bald with a white tilak on his forehead and wire-rimmed glasses, wears an orange-red robe and gold necklaces with a central pendant and holds a pink cloth. Behind him a second man in orange robes with a gold necklace carries a folded pink cloth. At right, a young man with long dark hair, a white forehead mark and a multicoloured flower garland over an orange robe walks beside them. Behind them, a crowd in white and cream clothing, and a yellow-robed figure stands at the left edge. Tall white temple gopuram towers, palm trees and a hill rise in the background.

Outdoor photograph of a crowded procession on a paved street. In the centre, a figure with long dark swept-back hair wears an orange saffron garment, a thick red-green-white flower garland and gold bangles, and gestures with one hand near the head. Beside him, a bald man in orange robes wears a heavy gold bead necklace with a pendant. To the right, men in white dhotis with gold borders and gold necklaces carry a golden trident (trishul) on a staff. Orange flags, a gold umbrella canopy, a decorated chariot and a blue-domed shrine appear behind, with a banner of portraits on the right.
