A night photograph of a street decorated for a festival. Strings of small white and red fairy lights hang from a large leafy tree and drape across the scene. Overhead cables cross the dark sky, and a single street lamp glows at right beside a second tree. Along the bottom edge, faint silhouettes of people and rows of pennant-style banners are barely visible against the dark ground, with tall vertical light tubes standing in the foreground. No clearly identifiable individuals are visible.

A night-time photograph of a large tree trunk on a raised stone platform, wrapped with orange marigold garlands and green leaf strands. Small offerings sit at its base. Warm lamps glow nearby, with a string of fairy lights overhead at left. To the right a red cloth banner with devanagari script hangs under a dark tarpaulin roof, beside a blue cloth. No people are visible.

Night photograph of a small Hindu shrine decorated with strings of warm fairy lights and marigold-style garlands draped along a white-painted roofline. A large tree grows beside the entrance. Inside an arched doorway, a red-curtained shrine holds a deity murti. To the right, an orange-and-yellow draped deity figure stands beside a small red-roofed structure with a metal gate. No people are visible.

A dark night photograph of an outdoor open-air area strung with small blue, purple and red fairy lights. At the centre a raised platform holds a decorated figure in white and red clothing seated beside a golden throne-like chair with a yellow cloth backdrop, with flower garlands and offerings in front. A kneeling person in dark clothing sits at the lower left of the platform, and a single silhouetted figure stands near the centre. A lit golden ornate structure appears at the right.

Night photograph of strings of small glowing yellow-orange bulbs hung on thin red wires between wooden poles against a dark dusk sky, with blurred silhouettes of trees at the lower right. No people are visible.

A night photograph of dark trees at an ashram grounds, decorated with strings of small blue, white, red and green fairy lights wound through the branches. No people are visible; the scene is quiet and dimly lit, with the lights glowing against the dark foliage.

Night photograph of a large banyan tree with many aerial roots and trunks, draped with a garland of yellow and red flowers strung between its branches. At the base sits a small concrete platform holding a row of lit oil lamps, with more small lamps scattered on the ground around it. No people are clearly visible in the frame apart from a partial hand at the right edge. The scene suggests a traditional lamp-lighting offering at a sacred tree, with the warm glow of the flames contrasting the dark background.

Night photograph of an outdoor ritual ground at a fire-ritual site. Red LED rope lights are strung in tall, looping outlines across a dark leafy tree and a rough mound of earth beside it, glowing against the black sky. Small white string lights run along a fence on the left, and white tubular lights stand on poles at the edges. A white plastic chair sits near the centre. On the left, a figure in a pale robe stands at the edge of the light, with another seated person partly visible behind. Dim copper or metal vessels and a small fire pit with glowing embers sit at the base of the tree.
