February 22 20132013-02-22A large printed banner portrait showing a smiling man with long dark hair, a red tilak on the forehead, an orange-saffron garment and a dark rudraksha mala. A printed caption reads "Paramahamsa Nithyananda" and the banner bottom carries the "Nithyananda Dhyanapeetha" logo in dark purple on orange. Blue fabric and marigold-like orange flowers frame the top-left edge. The image shows a printed portrait, not a physical person in the scene.2009-09-10December 15 20072007-12-15A man stands on a low stage with both arms raised high and palms open, smiling. He wears a flowing saffron-orange garment wrapped over one shoulder, a dark rudraksha mala around his neck, and a small red bindi on his forehead. Behind him a large vinyl banner shows a close portrait of a smiling man in an orange head covering, and the banner's top reads NITHYANANDA with INTERNATIONAL VEDI partly visible. The banner's lower text is partly obscured. A small painted mountain landscape lines the stage base.2007-12-15December 11 20062006-12-11A photograph of a street banner hung on bamboo poles in front of a tree with feathery green leaves. The banner shows a smiling man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban, with a red tilak on his forehead, a rudraksha mala around his neck, and his hands pressed together in namaste. Beneath the portrait is a caption, and the lower panel carries Tamil dates and phone numbers. Behind the banner are shop signs and a shopfront with red-lettered Tamil signage. No people are physically present in the scene; the figure appears only as a printed portrait. The portrait is captioned "Paramahamsa SRI NITHYANANDA SWAMIGAL", printed on the banner rather than identifying anyone physically present.March 19 20132013-03-19November 09 20112011-11-09A standing figure on a stage raises both arms overhead in an open greeting gesture. He wears a flowing saffron-orange robe draped over one shoulder, a long rudraksha mala of dark beads around the neck, and a red bindi on the forehead, with long dark hair swept back. Behind him a large purple and white banner reads NITHYANANDA and INTERNATIONAL VED, with a huge portrait of a smiling man in an orange turban, labelled with a caption ending in "sa Nithyanan". A white-clad figure appears at the right edge. Probable Swamiji: the saffron robe, long swept-back hair and rudraksha mala match the cues, and he stands before a banner bearing his name, so the depiction is an in-person candidate, appearance-based only.2007-12-15A large outdoor banner at night, mounted on a bamboo frame under bright stage lights, shows a smiling man with long dark hair, a saffron-orange head wrap and saffron-orange robes, with a red bindi on his forehead. A peacock feather design appears on the left edge of the banner. The lower portion carries a black band with white Tamil lettering. The banner depicts a printed portrait, not a physical person in the scene, so no physical people are visible.2010-01-08July 29 20082008-07-29January 08 20102010-01-08
