In front, a bare-headed man in white dhoti and shirt carries a bundle wrapped in white cloth with yellow decoration. A man in a red silk dhoti and shawl walks beside him. A tall man on the right wears an orange turban, orange robe and a wrap, smiling and walking forward. Behind him, a man in white with an orange shawl holds an umbrella pole, and a bearded man in white with a rudraksha-style necklace follows at the edge. Palm fronds and a lamp stand are visible in the dark background. The scene reads as a temple or festival procession.2006-12-20Night procession on a paved path lined with green and multicoloured string lights in trees. A man in white dhoti and shawl walks in front with a grey cloth bag. Behind him, saffron-robed sadhus walk, one holding a multicoloured canopy umbrella on a long pole over a central figure with long swept-back hair, a crown-like headpiece, a red-brown top, layered beaded necklaces and a patterned skirt. Another sadhu in orange robes carries a staff, and a flash-lit ground area lies beyond.2018-02-13December 02 20172017-12-02December 02 20172017-12-02Night procession on a paved path lit by string lights wrapped around trees and a bright floodlight. A multicoloured canopy with fringed edges, mounted on a long pole, is carried over the procession. Men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas walk in the group, one bare-chested figure in a patterned wrap leads a tall pole-bearer region, and a bearded man in white dhoti and shawl walks at the front with a drum-like object. A figure with a dark turban and bare-torso adornments stands near the canopy. Green and red lights line the sides of the route.2018-02-13Night photo of a procession on a dirt path lined with grass and palm trees. A man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban walks in front, with a colourful striped parasol held over him by a man in white. Behind, a shirtless man in a red dhoti and rudraksha-style beads walks alongside men in white dhotis and orange shawls. Additional ceremonial parasols and poles are visible further back. The orange-robed figure is shown from behind; there is no clear appearance-based cue beyond the saffron clothing and turban, so the identity is not established.2006-12-20December 20 20062006-12-20A nighttime outdoor procession at a rural site moves along a dirt path. Several men in white dhotis and shirts walk beside colourful fringed parasols in red, yellow and blue patterns, with a man in a red-brown garment at centre. Several men carry trays and offerings, and one carries a folded cloth. At the right, a man in a bright orange robe with a saffron turban is walking in front, and another man wearing an orange shawl over white clothes and holding a rudraksha-style mala stands nearby. Overhead, a tall pole rises into the dark sky.2006-12-20December 02 20172017-12-02
