To the right, a line of people in red-orange robes stand along the roadside, some holding drums and one holding a long staff. Red fairy lights hang among trees on the right, and a fence and a small stack of stones appear on the left. Visible people are a group of about ten to twenty in saffron robes, with the figure on the float not clearly identifiable. This appears to be a nighttime procession.2017-11-15A night procession on a paved road lit by floodlights. At the centre, an illuminated palanquin or ratha glows with fairy lights and carries a dark ornate umbrella above a deity or dignitary seated under it. Along both sides, a long line of people walks: many women and girls in red and orange saris with rudraksha malas, and men in white dhotis and orange or saffron shawls, some carrying items. Crowd size is large, with dozens of participants visible in the frame.2016-02-17April 29 20152015-04-29February 17 20162016-02-17February 17 20162016-02-17Night procession on a dirt road. A palanquin-style shrine structure lit with warm lamps and topped with a pointed shikhara-like roof is carried forward, shaded by a white canopy and flanked by two decorated standards and lit torches. Ahead, men in saffron/orange robes walk in front, one in a long orange robe with a sash; behind them, many people in white dhotis, white kurtas and white salwar-style outfits follow. Women in white and yellow saris and salwars walk along the sides, some holding orange flags on poles. A man in a white dhoti and white shirt stands at the right edge. Crowd members in the foreground carry orange and saffron flags.2011-12-05November 15 20172017-11-15
