A person in a saffron-orange sari-style garment with gold borders leans forward, pouring or offering something from a coconut-like vessel onto the dark stone base, with green leaves and a striped cloth nearby. The deity figures are adorned with heavy gold necklaces, jewelled ornaments and a raised hand gesture; the background is densely decorated with garlands in red, yellow, purple and white. Flanking figures wearing red and orange turbans and garlands stand at the sides, with a bearded figure on the right holding a hand up in blessing. The scene is an abhishekam-style offering at a temple shrine.2015-01-13A photograph of a man in a brown sleeveless garment with a gold-bordered sash, standing with palms pressed together in namaskar while smiling and facing a decorated deity murti. He wears a bangle on his upper arm and a white-and-red flower garland. The murti is a golden metal figure wearing a tall gold crown with an orange headcloth, ornate jewellery and a necklace, flanked by a second golden figure in a teal cloth. Both are heavily draped in red roses, yellow marigolds, green leaves and white flowers, with a purple-and-gold cloth canopy above. The setting is a temple or shrine with a painted backdrop. The man's appearance does not clearly match the in-person cues required for the a person candidate, so this is a devotee standing in prayer before the murti.2012-04-23 +2 copiesFebruary 17 20152015-02-17 +1 copiesJanuary 04 20152015-01-04April 14 20132013-04-14 +1 copiesMarch 31 20082008-03-31A photograph inside a temple sanctum of a gold deity murti of a seated figure and a standing consort, both draped in dense garlands of yellow, green, red, pink and purple flowers. In the foreground a man in a maroon dhoti and sash, with a rudraksha mala and gold bangles, stands with hands at the garlanded altar. To the left, a bare-chested priest with white vibhuti marks holds a silver tray and lamp, with another attendant behind him. Gold pillars and carved stone surround the shrine, and a silver linga-shaped object sits before the garlands.2013-07-22A standing man in saffron-orange robes and a long gold-and-rudraksha ceremonial necklace smiles beside a flower-decorated shrine, with a long black hair, a red tilak on his forehead, and a raised hand. Behind him stands a deity murti with a crown, trident and a flower-draped kalasha, flanked by a richly garlanded arch of red, yellow, purple and white blossoms. A garlanded figure of a seated saint in orange sits in front of a flower-covered lingam-like form. Brass oil lamps and a banana leaf frame the scene. The man has long, swept-back hair and rudraksha-style adornments, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in person, consistent with the page's pada puja event.2013-01-01A photograph of a ritual before a richly decorated shrine. A devotee with long dark hair, wearing an orange-brown sari and gold bangles, leans forward to offer or touch flower garlands and a small brass vessel to a central golden deity pair: a male figure in a red turban and a female figure with a golden crown, both draped in jasmine and marigold garlands. Behind them stands a trident-like trishul on the left. In front, a seated saffron-robed figure with a white face, rudraksha-style beads and a red-and-gold turban receives a garland and a pink rose. The shrine is framed by bands of yellow, red, purple and green flowers, with brass oil lamps and incense sticks in the foreground.2013-01-01
