Thick grey-brown limbs spread diagonally across the frame, with many hanging aerial roots descending in tangled clusters from the upper branches. Green leaves, some glossy and broad, fill the upper left corner, and bright sky shows through the canopy gaps. A thin white pipe-like post stands at the left edge beside the trunk. No people, deities, or ritual activity are visible.2008-11-05A large banyan tree with massive grey, lichen-spotted horizontal limbs running across the frame and many hanging aerial roots descending to the red-brown earth. Several thick trunks and prop roots form a dense cluster beneath the canopy, with a low pale concrete curb encircling the base. No people are visible; the scene shows only the tree, its roots and green foliage in the background.2010-07-15Close view of several smooth, pale grey-brown tree trunks crossing and curving past one another, with a dark bark seam on the right trunk. Through the gaps, blurred green foliage and a blurred figure in grey clothing stand in the background, along with faint shapes of white and orange cloth near the ground.2006-07-22A large banyan tree with many thick hanging aerial roots and prop roots descending into reddish-brown soil. Green leaves spread at the upper right. Black hoses or cables run across the ground at the base of the trunks. A partially visible white-clad figure appears at the far right edge, and a sliver of a person is visible at the far left edge. The scene is an outdoor ashram grounds setting.2009-09-05September 05 20092009-09-05September 10 20142014-09-10 +1 copiesLooking up into a large, mature banyan tree with thick grey trunks and sprawling, interlaced branches. Many aerial roots hang and twist down from the limbs, and dense green leaves fill the canopy with patches of bright sky showing through. No people, deities or ritual objects are visible.2010-08-19
