In the foreground a young man in a pale mint-green collared shirt bends forward, holding a plate in both hands. Behind him a man in a pale checked shirt and a man in a blue-and-white plaid shirt stand, and an older woman in a mustard-yellow sari with a green blouse holds a plate on the right. A white wall lines the left side. The scene suggests food distribution such as annadan, with no a person figure visible.2012-05-25 +2 copiesA photograph of volunteers serving food in a white-tiled ashram kitchen during an annadan meal. Several men in white shirts and white dhotis or trousers stand behind a stainless steel counter, ladling food from large steel pots into metal plates. The man in the foreground wears a light blue t-shirt with a blue lanyard and stirs a large steel pot. A man in the centre wears a white cap, and a man on the right wears a white-and-grey checked cloth over his shoulder. No swami or teacher is visible.2010-07-07A serving line for a communal meal in an indoor hall with pink walls and decorative striped pillars. A woman in a white sari with a dark rudraksha-style bead necklace and a red hair flower ladles white rice from a large steel pot with a serving spoon. Behind her, men and women in white clothing hold out banana leaves heaped with rice and side dishes at steel serving pots. An older man in a white shirt on the left holds a banana leaf plate, and others stand in line, some in white dhotis and shirts. This appears to be an annadan-style meal service. No one clearly appears to be a person in this image.2011-11-07June 26 20122012-06-26 +1 copiesDecember 14 20072007-12-14May 25 20122012-05-25 +2 copies
