A young priest with a shaved head, white dhoti and shawl edged in gold, and a white forehead mark sits cross-legged on the left and pours water from a brass pot over the feet of a white statue. The statue wears a purple turban, purple shawl, gold necklaces and a red bindi, and is garlanded with yellow and red flowers and rudraksha malas. Brass oil lamps, pink and red flower offerings, a brass plate and a brass kalasha sit in front. Golden carved temple pillars, red drapes and a blue cloth frame the scene. The statue is a depiction, not a living person, and no one present matches a clear a person appearance.2011-07-26May 08 20122012-05-08May 12 20122012-05-12May 13 20122012-05-13May 15 20122012-05-15 +1 copiesMay 05 20152015-05-05 +1 copiesA priest in white ritual dhoti and shawl with yellow borders, with a sandalwood or vibhuti mark on his forehead and a black rudraksha-style mala at his neck, kneels at a temple altar and drapes an orange and red cloth over a copper kalasha-shaped vessel set on a low wooden stand. Behind him is an ornate gold-framed arch with red brocade drapery, brass and silver bowls sit on the right, and incense sticks are placed in a small metal cup in the foreground. The scene appears to be a puja preparation at a Hindu temple altar.2008-10-23A seated shaved-headed priest in an orange-saffron dhoti and bare upper body, with white sacred ash on his forehead and shoulders and a dark rudraksha mala and gold necklace, performs puja before a gilded shrine. He holds a brass bell in one hand and extends a small brass oil lamp with a lit flame toward a deity murti; pink flowers and offerings lie on the shrine ledge. A person in white stands at left, partially visible. Brass vessels and a gold-framed altar surround the scene.2012-05-14
