December 27 20122012-12-27December 27 20122012-12-27A photograph of a ritual abhishekam in a hall. A figure with long swept-back dark hair sits on an ornate silver-framed throne, wearing a tiger-striped saffron-and-black garment, layered gold necklaces, rudraksha mala and gold armlets, pouring liquid from a silver vessel over a small gold deity murti on a carved wooden stand draped with purple cloth. Seated before it, a young man in white dhoti with an orange-red shawl presses his palms together in prayer, with a forehead tilak. Behind them, devotees in white clothes with orange and red shawls sit on blue and purple mats, and brass puja vessels are arranged on the floor. Probable Swamiji is the figure on the throne, based on long hair, ornate gold jewellery and rudraksha cues, though identity is uncertain.2012-12-16Photograph of a seated figure on an ornate silver-framed throne in a large hall, with a small headset microphone. The central figure wears an orange and black tiger-striped garment, layered gold necklaces, a rudraksha-style mala, gold armlets and a red kumkum mark on the forehead; long dark hair falls past the shoulders. Probable Swamiji by appearance cues: long swept-back hair, ornate gold jewellery and distinctive striped clothing, seated in a presiding role. Before the throne is a gold-toned table holding a metal deity murti and a purple cloth, with a small brass vessel. In the foreground a young man in white dhoti with a red shawl and beaded necklace sits cross-legged. Behind, seated devotees in white and red shawls fill the room, with a few people standing near the back and a staircase at left.2012-12-16A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, a red tilak on his forehead, a gold ceremonial necklace and a tiger-striped saffron-and-black wrap sits on a leopard-print cushion before an ornate silver throne-back. He gestures over a brass shri yantra-style kalasha-like metal object on a carved wooden puja table with small bells and a thali of offerings. Around him, devotees in white clothes with orange-red shawls sit in a hall; a woman at right presses palms together in anjali. A ceremony such as a puja is underway. Swamiji (probable): the seated man shows long swept-back hair, ceremonial gold necklaces and a striped saffron wrap.2012-12-26December 16 20122012-12-16June 23 20132013-06-23December 26 20122012-12-26July 30 20122012-07-30December 14 20142014-12-14A seated man in orange-saffron dhoti and leopard-print shawl pours liquid from a silver vessel over a silver shri yantra-style meru base on a golden-draped altar, performing abhishekam. He wears multiple strands of amber-gold beads, a gold necklace, a red bindi and white vertical tilak. Behind him stands an ornate gold-framed backdrop with a lion-motif. A silver bowl with yellow and pink flowers, silver cups and a small silver pot sit nearby, with another robed attendant partly visible at left.2012-07-30A seated man with long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and an orange-and-black striped garment with beaded necklaces performs a ritual at a low wooden altar holding a silver Shiva lingam-style object, a silver kalasha-like vessel and flowers. Beside him a bare-chested man in white dhoti with an orange shawl and gold necklaces holds a metal bowl, and seated devotees in white and orange sit on a patterned floor. Behind them a backdrop shows a deity murti with a trident beside a decorated chair, and a stage camera and tripod stand at right.2012-12-28
