A photograph of a padapuja ritual in an ornate hall. A man seated on a gold-framed brown throne wears an orange-brown robe, a pink-and-yellow flower garland, a white tilak on his forehead and a gold necklace; his appearance has several cues consistent with a person as the one being honoured. A shaven-headed priest in white dhoti with orange border sits on the floor on a brown rug, bowing over his feet. Three women in white and orange sit beside him holding trays with flowers, and silver plates with oil lamps, incense sticks and offerings are arranged on the rug. A golden lion statue stands behind the throne.2012-12-04December 11 20122012-12-11Seated on an ornate golden-brown throne with a golden lion sculpture beside him, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a white forehead mark, a pink-and-yellow flower garland, bangles and an orange-saffron cloth smiles and raises his hands in greeting. Around him on the carpet, four devotees sit in a semicircle: a bald man in white with an orange shawl pours or offers from a small vessel, a woman in white with an orange shawl holds a small silver cup with a light-coloured flower tilted toward the seated figure, a woman in white and orange receives a flower, and a man in white with an orange shawl sits at the right. Silver trays hold rows of small oil lamps, a silver plate of offerings and a silver cup, and orange cloth lies on the floor. Ornamental plants and a marble wall form the background.2012-12-11A photograph of a padapuja ritual on a raised wooden stage in a bright hall. A man with long swept-back dark hair, orange-saffron robes, a red-and-yellow flower garland and a bare upper arm sits on a dark red and gold throne, smiling and gesturing with one hand. Golden lion statues flank the throne, and a tall green ivy trailing from the ledge sits at the top. Four devotees kneel at his feet: a woman in white with a white sari, a woman in a red-and-maroon checked shawl, a bald man in white with an orange cloth, and a blonde woman in a white top with an orange cloth over her shoulder. Brass plates with flowers and small offerings lie on the floor.2012-12-11A seated figure on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a golden lion on each side is receiving padapuja. He wears a rust-red turban with a white plume, a rust-red robe, and layered garlands of multicolored beads and a red-and-white flower garland, with a rudraksha mala. Bare feet rest on a tiger-print cloth while a kneeling priest in white dhoti and shawl, with bare shoulders and shaved head, holds his hands in namaskar. Devotees in orange, red and rust saris and shawls sit on the floor around silver plates of flowers and oil lamps. A large screen and a printed landscape banner appear behind the throne. The figure's appearance is consistent with the page's a person reference, but the identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2013-12-17A photograph of a padapuja during a satsang event. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange shawl with a rudraksha-style beaded garland, sits on an ornate red and gold throne flanked by gilded lion sculptures, holding a white fly-whisk-style staff and a small hand drum. Several devotees sit on the floor before him: a woman in a white sari with a pink blouse holds a silver thali of flowers and lamps, a woman in white with a rudraksha mala sits nearby, and an older man in white with glasses has his hands folded. Brass plates with offerings and flower petals lie on the floor, and girls in white sit in the foreground. Behind them are a large screen and a green plant.2013-12-11June 23 20132013-06-23A seated man on an ornate golden throne with a red cushion wears an orange turban and an orange-and-pink flower garland, with a rudraksha bracelet on his wrist and a saffron shawl draped over him. Around him, devotees sit on a blue floor in white, saffron and red shawls, several holding brass plates of flowers and offerings, including a man in white and a woman in a white sari with a red-bordered shawl. A tall silver trident stands beside the throne, and a second golden throne sits empty in the background. The appearance-based candidate on the throne has long swept-back hair, a turban, saffron clothing and rudraksha beads, so this is a probable Swamiji (probable) in a satsang-style gathering.2014-05-11Photograph of a satsang in a richly decorated golden temple-style hall. A man seated on an ornate gold throne with carved lion-head arms wears a red-orange turban with a white floral ornament, an orange-red robe with gold border, and a marigold garland; he holds a small object and sits with bare feet. Before him, a group of about a dozen devotees sit on the floor in white clothing, several with hands folded in anjali, around a gold tray set with silver plates of offerings, red flower petals and lamps. Brass bells and hanging oil lamps are suspended above, and a camera on a tripod stands at left. Given the group visible, this is a pada puja setting.2014-09-07A photograph of a seated figure on a gold-and-cream throne flanked by a gilded lion-shaped armrest and brass oil lamps hanging nearby. In front, a young man in white kurta with hands joined, and a woman in a white sari with hands in namaste, sit beside a silver thali of pink and red flower petals and offering plates. A small framed portrait stands behind the throne, and a wooden door with brass studs fills the right side. Two more devotees are partly visible at the lower right.2013-07-06December 12 20122012-12-12June 17 20132013-06-17
