A seated man in saffron-orange sannyasi robes with a gold-edged shawl, a long rudraksha mala, and swept-back hair in a bun, smiles while placing his hand on the forehead of a kneeling man in a white shirt and white trousers with folded hands in namaskar. A brass lamp and a carved bronze temple panel stand behind them. a person: the seated sannyasi shows the rudraksha mala, saffron robes, and bun cues. A small partially visible person sits in the lower right corner.2011-11-26A photograph of an indoor hall with a dark red curtain and a wall-mounted projector screen. A clean-shaven-headed man in a white shirt, with a bearded face and rudraksha mala, bows forward with hands clasped to his face while a man in a orange-saffron robe with a multicolour marigold, rose and leaf garland and a rudraksha mala places his hand on his head in blessing. The blessing figure has long swept-back dark hair, a red bindi, an orange-saffron robe and a cream shawl, and smiles. Behind them, other men in white and saffron-orange robes stand, and a bald monk in saffron with a red tilak holds a bowl. The event appears to be a padukas blessing at an ashram. Swamiji cues: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and flower garland (probable).2011-08-14A photograph of a seated man on a golden-framed throne with a red backdrop, wearing an orange saffron wrap, layered rudraksha malas, and a long garland of pink and white flowers with green leaves. He has long swept-back hair and a red mark on his forehead, and smiles while a bald man in a white kurta and an orange shawl kneels before him, touching his palm to the seated man's forehead. Another man in white stands at right holding orange cloth, and an ivy garland decorates the ledge behind. Swamiji (probable) appears as the seated figure on the throne, with his long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and rudraksha malas as cues to his role as the one receiving honour.2012-12-10 +1 copiesOctober 25 20152015-10-25A photograph of a seated man on an ornate gold throne with a red cushioned back, wearing an orange-saffron shawl over bare shoulders and a long rudraksha-style bead necklace with a gold-toned ceremonial pendant. He has long swept-back dark hair and a tilak-like mark on his forehead and is smiling as he places his right hand on the forehead of a shaved-headed man in white ritual clothing with an orange shawl. Behind them, two men in white dhoti and shirt wear orange shawls and lanyards, and a video camera operator is visible at top center. A brass oil lamp, a small potted plant and a dark red draped backdrop are in the setting. The seated man's appearance matches the page's Swamiji reference through several cues (long swept-back hair, ornate gold throne, saffron shawl, bead necklace), so this is a probable Swamiji in an act of blessing a devotee. Five or more people are visible including partially visible figures.2015-07-19A photograph in a ceremonial hall with red velvet drapery and gilded furniture. A seated figure with swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and a gold bead necklace wears an orange-red shawl over orange garments, sits on a gold-framed throne with a red velvet cushion, and is being honoured. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands before the throne, his right hand touching the seated figure's forehead while his left hand is raised. A younger man in a white shirt and a rudraksha mala stands at the left edge, and another person's head is visible in the lower right corner. The scene shows a blessing or greeting ritual. The page attributes the event to a person, but the seated figure's appearance is not sufficiently distinctive to confirm an identity.2013-05-19March 30 20122012-03-30A photograph of an indoor blessing scene in a red and gold setting. A seated figure in an orange-red turban, bare-shouldered orange robe with a yellow sash, and layered beaded necklaces places his right hand on the forehead of a standing-kneeling man in a white shirt with an orange scarf printed with text. The man has his palms pressed together in namaste. Behind them are red drapes, a gold ornate backrest and a gold carved throne base. The seated figure's distinctive turban and beaded adornments are cues consistent with a person, who is shown giving a forehead blessing to a devotee in a personal darshan moment.2015-10-25
