A central figure in an orange turban and orange robe with gold-bordered cloth, wearing a long beaded necklace and a pendant, stands barefoot with palms pressed together in anjali. Behind him to the left, a man in a light blue shirt and dark trousers holds a yellow folder with his hands joined in greeting, and a woman in a pink sari with white trim also stands with palms together. An older man in a white kurta bows low at lower right, touching the floor near a red chair. Several men in white kurtas stand in the background, and fresh orange and yellow flower garlands lie on the floor near the doorway.2005-11-11A photograph taken in an auditorium with rows of red padded chairs and a carpeted central aisle. A long-haired figure in an orange garment with a gold border stands barefoot at the centre, palms pressed together in namaste, with a red bindi on the forehead and a gold-beaded mala necklace with a pendant. The figure has long, swept-back dark hair and wears a shawl-like orange wrap with gold brocade, which are the qualifying cues for the appearance-based label Swamiji (probable). Around them, seated and standing attendees also join their palms in greeting, including a man in a white shirt on the left, a man in a checked shirt, a woman in a green sari, and an older man in an orange vest on the right. Ceiling fluorescent lights and a wall fan are visible in the background.2005-11-12A seated man in saffron-orange robes with gold borders and an orange turban sits on a white cushioned seat with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, eyes lowered, a red bindi on his forehead. He wears a gold-toned beaded necklace and a rudraksha-style mala, with long dark hair falling over his shoulders. Behind him hangs a colourful draped canopy in yellow, green, purple and pink, and a floral backdrop of trees is visible at right. At the lower left edge, a partially visible woman in a dark red top sits near him.2005-12-03November 26 20112011-11-26A standing man with long dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead, dressed in a flowing saffron-orange robe with a gold-and-bead necklace, holds his palms together in anjali at chest level in a pavilion. Behind him a seated woman in white with a rudraksha mala and a red bindi sits before a row of brass oil lamps and a tiered brass lamp stand with a brass figure. A crowd of seated devotees in white fills the background, and a decorated pillar with painted patterns stands at right. The setting suggests a satsang or puja gathering.2010-02-12November 11 20052005-11-11November 10 20052005-11-10 +1 copiesA smiling man in an orange turban and orange sannyasi-style robe stands with palms pressed together in anjali mudra, a gesture of greeting or devotion. He wears a heavy gold bead necklace and a vermilion-marked forehead, with a bare shoulder visible. Behind him hangs a white and orange flower garland decoration beneath a draped pink, purple and blue cloth canopy. On the left, two men stand, one holding a camera, and a young person in yellow is partly visible at the right edge. The setting appears to be an outdoor procession or ceremonial event.2006-09-24A man in an orange saffron turban and orange robe stands with palms pressed together in namaste at the centre of a crowded indoor hall. He has long dark hair falling past his shoulders, a red bindi, and wears a heavy gold necklace with a large pendant. Around him, devotees stand with hands folded: a woman on the left in a cream outfit, a woman in a white sari with a red bindi and gold jewellery on the right, a smiling woman in white with glasses, and several men in white shirts and a man in a blue checked shirt on the right. The appearance of the central figure with saffron turban, long hair and ornate gold necklace is a probable match for a person, shown in person receiving greetings from devotees. Dim ceiling lights and a dark background frame the scene.January 12 20072007-01-12
