A photograph of a ritual fire pit built from stacked red bricks, each brick painted yellow with turmeric and decorated with white geometric motifs and red kumkum dots. Dry twigs and sticks are arranged inside the square pit, ready for a homa or yagna fire. Surrounding it on a white tiled floor are a steel bowl of white powder, a small cup of ghee, a brass spoon, a plate of red flowers and a bowl of puffed rice or grains. No people are visible.

Overhead photo of a square homa fire pit built from turmeric-yellow painted bricks and filled with sand. Stacked dry wood sticks sit in the centre, arranged in a pyramid. Pink orchid-like flowers, white chrysanthemums, yellow marigolds and green leaves decorate the brick rims. Small clay oil lamps sit at three corners, and dried grass or straw ties are placed diagonally around the pit. No people are visible; the floor is grey concrete beside a green patterned mat.

A bowl of red flower petals sits at upper right, and a brass vessel rests at the right edge. String is tied around the brick structure, and a patterned cloth lies at the bottom. No people are visible.

A square fire pit built from yellow-painted bricks with white line decorations and red kumkum dots, with flames rising from neatly stacked wooden sticks inside. Dry grass blades lie across the bricks. Behind the pit, a lit oil lamp sits on a silver stand beside brass plates, one holding white powder, and a metal tray holds dry twigs at the upper left. The setting suggests a homa or yagna fire ritual, though no people are visible.

Overhead photo of a homa fire pit built into the floor of a plain concrete hall. White brick walls frame a square of brown earth, with a triangular arrangement of dry wooden sticks and a small grey stone at the centre. Yellow painted lines run along the floor beside it, and a blue cloth lies at the top edge. A brass plate holding yellow flowers, a small white item and a few sticks sits at upper right, with incense sticks lying at the bottom edge. No people are visible.

A homa fire pit built of red bricks, with the bricks decorated in turmeric yellow, white chalk lines and red kumkum dots and bands arranged in circles and stripes. A bowl of red flower petals sits at the top, a brass vessel of liquid stands on the right, and a small steel cup sits in the foreground on a cloth edged with red flowers. No people are visible. The setting matches a ritual fire ceremony during the Shiva Deeksha programme.
