Striped red-and-white steps line the tank behind it, and trees and a palm stand on the bank. In the foreground, a crowd of devotees stands in the water and along the edge. A standing priest in an orange-red dhoti and shawl raises his hand beside the lingam, and a second figure in orange robes stands nearby. To the right, a decorated float with white flower arrangements, garlands and an orange-and-white parasol carries a seated figure. Several people in white and pastel clothing wade near the steps.2009-07-08A large black stone Shivalingam rises from a yoni-pitha base in a shallow tank with a red and white striped wall behind it. A garland of yellow, red and green flowers drapes over the lingam's top. Water sprays from fountain jets around it while a crowd of devotees, many in white and some in red, wades and bathes in the water around the base, some reaching toward the stone. Blue tent fabric and bunting appear in the background under a clear sky. The scene suggests an abhishekam-style water ritual at a temple site.2009-01-02A large black stone Shivling stands in a water basin at dusk, with a tall oval lingam crowned by a white and red tripundra marking and a red tilak dot, wrapped in a garland-edged band. A golden yoni-pitha base with a gold ornamental face motif sits below, with water jets falling around it. Behind is a red and white striped stepped structure and trees.2009-06-09July 08 20092009-07-08October 17 20102010-10-17Outdoor photo of a large black stone Shiva lingam on a square plinth with red and white striped base, adorned with white and red flower garlands and gold-trimmed ceremonial cloth. Water sprays from fountain jets around it onto the monument and surrounding pool. Tiered red stone steps on the left hold about a dozen seated devotees in white clothes, and a few people stand near the base; at the lower right, figures in orange and white robes stand beside the plinth. Trees and an overcast sky frame the scene.2010-10-17Night photograph of a large black Shivalinga standing in water, with fountain jets of water spraying upward and around it. Three gold-and-red decorated face panels (mukhalingam faces) are fixed to the front of the linga base, and a white horizontal tripundra marking sits on its upper face. Red and white striped pavement borders the waterline, string lights glow in the background, and rows of empty red seating are visible beside the scaffolding. No people are visible.2010-11-23 +1 copiesA large black stone Shiva lingam stands in a shallow pool with water jets spraying around it. The lingam is garlanded with multicoloured flower strands, a gold yoni-shaped ornament hangs at its base, and a white cloth drapes its upper section. Men and women bathe and wade in the water around the lingam, while onlookers sit on striped tiered steps and a tent-lined bank in the background.
