Night photograph of a procession at an outdoor ashram setting with a red-and-gold ornate throne in the foreground. Four men walk in a line in orange and red-orange dhoti-style garments; the central figure wears a red cloth, a long gold necklace and a headband, and another walks with a tall yellow pole supporting a multicoloured canopy with fringed edges. A red-and-gold decorated banner stands at right, and a striped mat lies at lower left. Concrete posts and a white vehicle are visible at left. The central walking figure has long dark hair and a gold necklace, but his face and appearance are not distinctive enough to confirm identity, so he is described only by role as a walking devotee in procession.2017-10-01December 17 20112011-12-17Night photograph at an outdoor ashram pathway lined with red-brick bollards and lanterns. A bearded man in a rust-brown unstitched robe walks barefoot at centre, flanked by attendants in saffron-orange dhotis, some bare-chested with white ash markings and orange shoulder cloths. A young attendant on the right holds up a long wooden-handled umbrella with a multicoloured tasselled canopy in red, yellow, green, blue and white. A black SUV is parked behind, and a red-trunked tree with white-wrapped wiring stands at right. Procession-style arrival scene.2017-02-08Photograph taken at night outdoors on a paved walkway. A bearded man in a reddish-brown ochre robe walks centrally, barefoot, with a light chain necklace, hands folded at his sides. A man in orange robes with bare upper body and a long decorated stick holds up a multicoloured fringed parasol with red, green, yellow and blue tassels. Around him, other men in orange dhotis, some bare-chested with white markings on their bodies and beaded necklaces, stand near a dark car, red pillars and a tree wrapped in red and white cloth. Lanterns sit on the ground beside the walkway.2017-02-08 +1 copiesNight procession at a temple-like outdoor setting strung with lights. A seated man in an orange saffron robe and beaded necklace sits on an ornate red and gold throne-chair, his hair long and swept back, holding a small object in his lap; the cues are distinctive enough for a person candidate, with his throne seat as the central figure. A bearded man in orange stands at the left edge. Several men in white dhotis and bare-chested devotees carry a decorated palanquin draped with flower garlands and a yellow cloth, with a deity murti visible at its top, pulling it along a dirt path. A red canopy with white fringe and a flag-banner frame the scene, and string lights glow in the background.2010-11-21November 21 20102010-11-21November 21 20102010-11-21A night-time procession walks along a red-carpeted path. At the centre, a person in a dark red garment with gold border wears a crown-like headpiece, a gold pendant necklace, and a long garland of white flowers and orange beads. Around them, several attendants in reddish-orange robes carry a golden staff, a curved golden horn, and a large ceremonial canopy with red, white and yellow trim overhead. A bright light illuminates the scene from behind, and a stage structure is visible in the background.2014-12-05April 03 20132013-04-03February 21 20162016-02-21December 17 20112011-12-17Night procession on a paved path at the Nithyananda Peetham ashram in Bengaluru.
