A man in a dark maroon-red robe and a large gold ornate pendant on a gold chain walks barefoot down a stone ramp, smiling, with a long-handled umbrella overhead held by a helper. Behind him, young men in orange-red dhotis and white forehead tilaks follow; one carries a brass vessel with orange flowers and green leaves, another holds a ceremonial item. Ornamental gold armlets and bangles adorn the lead man's arms. A striped mat lies on the steps in front. Behind them stand rows of black stone shivalingam-shaped pillars with brass oil lamps on red-painted tiered steps, with a wire mesh fence at the side. The lead man has long swept-back hair, a bare-shouldered wrap and a rudraksha-style gold necklace, consistent with a person presentation.2017-06-26July 17 20172017-07-17 +1 copiesNight procession at an ashram temple: a bearded man in a rust-brown robe with a gold-beaded necklace walks along a striped runner between rows of black shivalingas on tiered red steps.
