December 11 20112011-12-11December 11 20112011-12-11A photograph of a procession inside a temple courtyard. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a white forehead mark wears a saffron-orange shawl and a thick garland of white and magenta flowers with gold beads, plus gold bangles on his upper arm. He smiles and walks forward. Beside him on the left, a shaved-headed priest in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala holds a tall silver staff, while a priest in white dhoti and shawl walks behind. Other devotees in white and saffron stand in the background, and an attendant on the right holds a brass tray. Orange-painted walls and pillars frame the scene.2011-12-11A procession of saffron-robed priests walks up temple steps in a courtyard lined with potted plants. In the centre, a long-haired man in an orange-saffron robe and a long white flower garland with red accents, plus a gold beaded necklace, smiles while walking. Behind him, a man in a white dhoti with an orange-gold border holds a tall staff with a white cloth, and a bald man in orange holds a ceremonial plate. At left, a man in orange carries a gold tray with ritual items, and a man in orange with a tilak carries a silver vessel. A saffron-robed man with a long-haired central figure matches a distinctive presentation cue, so the appearance-based label is a person, standing in the procession. Behind them, a black-and-red decorated deity murti, possibly a Shiva lingam, stands beside a banner on the wall.2011-12-11December 11 20112011-12-11Night photograph of a procession at an ashram entrance. Behind him, saffron-robed men with white tilak on their foreheads and rudraksha malas walk with hands folded in namaskar, and a man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold-bordered cloth walks at left. A red wall with yellow lettering runs along the left edge. +1 copiesA procession at a temple-like setting. Behind him, a man in a white dhoti with a yellow shawl and a white tripundra on his forehead holds a long wooden pole supporting an ornate orange and red floral canopy or umbrella. Another attendant in white with a yellow shawl and rudraksha mala walks beside him, and a bald bearded man in white with glasses stands at left near a red pillar. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing saffron-orange robes, a red and gold flower garland, layered gold necklaces and gold armbands, stands at the foot of the steps with a red flower in hand. Behind him, a shaved-headed attendant in saffron robes and a gold necklace holds a ceremonial item. On the stairs, a shaved-headed man in white dhoti with a gold border and a wooden pole stands beside the railing. Around him, men and youths in white kurtas and orange shawls walk closely; one at left wears a white kurta with an orange shawl and a forehead mark, and a woman in orange appears behind. A green leafy garland hangs at right under a clear blue sky, with a palm and white building at left. Swamiji (probable) appears in the centre, described by the saffron robe, long hair, trident and garland cues within a devotee procession.2007-01-01December 26 20082008-12-26December 11 20112011-12-11
