Photograph of a ceremonial scene on a gold-carved throne draped with red tiger-striped cushions and garlanded with yellow and red flowers. A seated man with swept-back dark hair wears an orange saffron wrap over a red sleeveless top and holds a bare arm extended toward him. Kneeling before him on a white cloth-covered dais is an older man in a white shirt and white dhoti with rudraksha beads around his neck, bowing forward with hands clasped at the seated man's waist. A second person in orange robes stands at the left edge behind the scene. Woven bamboo screen and leafy green vines frame the background.2008-10-12A seated figure in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair swept back sits on a red tiger-striped cushioned throne with a gold carved lion armrest and a gold ornate backrest with floral garlands in red, yellow and white. He raises his right hand in blessing toward a kneeling devotee in white clothes who bows with head lowered. Beside him another devotee in an orange shirt bends forward with hands folded, and a man in white stands at left in the background wearing an orange robe with a rudraksha mala. Bamboo-mat walls and a pink floral arrangement decorate the room, with flowers on the throne.2008-10-12A photograph of a seated ceremony on a white-draped platform before an ornate gold throne with red cushions and a floral garland of yellow and red flowers. A long-haired figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on the throne, one hand raised. A kneeling man in a white shirt and white dhoti bows forward and touches the seated figure's feet area with his hands. A second man in an orange robe and gold bangle stands at left beside a bamboo backdrop. A gold lion-shaped armrest and a small gold deity murti appear on the throne. Descriptions of the seated figure's identity are not established from appearance alone, so the person is described by role as a seated figure receiving a devotee.2008-10-18 +1 copiesOctober 18 20082008-10-18 +1 copiesOctober 12 20082008-10-12A devotee in white clothes bows deeply with his forehead touching the feet of a long-haired figure seated on a gold lion-armed throne with a red cushion, the seated figure wearing orange robes and a red-patterned shawl. Probable Swamiji (long hair, orange robes, ceremonial throne setting) is the one being honoured. Behind the throne, a gold-framed backdrop hangs with garlands of marigolds and flower arrangements; a red velvet curtain stands at left. A younger attendant in orange sits behind, and another seated man in orange and red kneels at lower right beside a brass kalasha-style offering with flowers. A woman in white sits at far left near a small basket.2008-12-25October 18 20082008-10-18 +1 copiesAugust 02 20092009-08-02October 12 20082008-10-12A seated long-haired man in an orange robe with a red bindi sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, his bare feet resting on a red mat, while his right hand rests on the bowed white-haired head of an elderly man in white. Behind the throne a bank of red, yellow and white gerbera and chrysanthemum flowers decorates the stage. A younger man in white dhoti and shirt wearing a dark beaded mala stands at right with a hand on the elder's back, and a person in orange stands behind the throne.2009-02-03A seated man with swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and an orange-red shawl over a red sleeveless top sits on a gold-embossed throne upholstered in red zebra-striped cushions, with a pink and yellow flower garland at the top of the throne. He rests his right hand on the head of a kneeling devotee in an orange kurta and orange dhoti, whose hands are pressed together in anjali. A younger standing attendant in orange robes and a rudraksha mala watches beside them. A white cloth covers the floor in front of the throne and a woven bamboo-style wall with leafy decorations stands behind. The scene appears to show a blessing or darshan. Probable Swamiji: the seated man has long swept-back hair, a red shawl over ornate attire, and a gold throne setting, which are distinctive presentation cues.2008-10-11December 20 20112011-12-20
