A figure in a long flowing orange-saffron cloth with long hair stands at left, and a second person in a white dhoti-style garment with a dark shoulder strap stands beside a stack of white bundles at right. Folded bedding and a rumpled blanket lie on a low platform at left. Light enters from gaps in the roof and walls.2006-11-23Indoor photo in a thatched-roof shed with white cloths hanging on a line. Four men stand in a row on the left, one in a green striped shirt, one in a purple checked shirt, one in a red and gold silk shawl holding up an ornate gold-coloured carved plaque or emblem. A bare-chested man in a blue lungi stands center-right. On the right, a man in a bright saffron/orange turban and saffron robe, with long swept-back hair, stands facing the group. Fluorescent tube light overhead, metal rods and a red-cylindrical object at lower right. A man in an orange saffron robe and a saffron turban stands at left, smiling and gesturing toward the work area. He has long, swept-back hair and a dark beard. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands in the centre with hands clasped, wearing a badge. Two workers in striped shirts crouch on the floor near wooden boards, handling an object. In the centre, a long-haired figure wearing a saffron-orange draped robe holds a thin wooden stick and looks down toward a thick cut log lying on the ground. To the left, a man with grey hair and glasses in a white shirt and white dhoti stands watching. On the right, another person in orange clothing is partly visible beside a wooden pole bound with rope. A taut rope runs diagonally across the left side of the frame.A photograph of two men standing together under a thatched palm-leaf roof with a cinder-block wall behind them. On the left, a man with long dark hair wears an orange-saffron shawl draped over a bare upper body and a long rudraksha mala of dark beads; he is smiling and looking toward the other man. On the right, a smiling man in a white dhoti-style garment and white shawl carries a camera with a black strap across his shoulder and holds the camera in his hands. Sunlight filters through gaps in the thatch.2006-11-23A photograph of a group of men gathered outdoors on a dirt ground beside thatched huts and palm trees, looking down at broken carved stone and terracotta fragments on the ground, including a large carved pillar-like piece and a stone head. A bald man in a white dhoti and white shawl, with glasses, extends his arm and points toward the fragments while speaking. Around him are men in orange and saffron robes, one in a green shawl and a few in pink-orange wraps.
