In the foreground, shaved-headed men in orange dhotis sit with bare upper bodies, sacred threads over their shoulders, facing a central area. Behind them, many people in orange and red robes, rudraksha malas and marigold-coloured garments sit in rows, some with white-lined tealight-style candles or small cups before them. Colourful umbrellas stand around the hall, and a camera operator on a tripod films from the back. The scene suggests a Maheshwara Puja style ritual with offerings, though no specific figure is clearly identifiable.2016-12-18A seated group ceremony in a hall with wooden lattice screens and a framed picture above. In the foreground, many devotees sit on red mats, several wearing red or orange robes and white shawls. Several men on the left and centre have bare upper bodies, white forehead markings, rudraksha malas and white body markings, and some sit with palms joined. Behind them, framed photographs and a collage of printed photos hang on a stand, and a bare-chested man with a mala in the centre-right sits with hands raised. Water bottles, fruit and flowers sit on the mats. A man in white sits at the far right near a chair. The scene suggests a satsang or meditation gathering.2016-09-30A large hall packed with seated and standing devotees dressed in white. In the foreground, a group of young sannyasi-style students in saffron robes, rudraksha malas and white forehead bands sit cross-legged on mats with hands raised in prayer or chanting, with brass lamps and small offering vessels before them. The crowd behind wears mostly white, with some in maroon. Metal stanchions line the aisle at left. A banner on the back wall shows a faded image. The scene resembles a group satsang or puja. Lights and arrangement suggest an ashram assembly.2013-09-15A large indoor ritual gathering where several shaved-headed priests in saffron-orange dhotis and sashes sit cross-legged on the floor. Many wear long rudraksha malas and white vibhuti-like marks across the forehead. Some hold small brass oil lamps, bowls and incense, and one raises an incense stick. Behind them rows of seated devotees, many young boys in black shirts and some in orange or white clothing, fill the hall. A red chair and red cloth stand at the right, with ritual trays and small lamps on orange cloths in the foreground.2013-03-06July 25 20172017-07-25 +1 copiesJuly 02 20172017-07-02
