On the left, a man seated on an ornate gold throne wears an orange-saffron garment, a multicoloured floral garland, a gold necklace, a red-and-gold crown, and holds a ceremonial staff. Center, a priest in an orange-and-gold dhoti holds a fine orange silk cloth while a second attendant in white dhoti and rudraksha mala stands beside him. At right, an attendant in orange raises a smoking incense or lamp toward a golden palanquin where a deity murti is adorned with flower garlands and gold ornaments. Offerings, fruits and a brass vessel sit in front. Mention of a Pattabhishekam-style ritual is not visually confirmed; the scene shows an abhishekam-type ritual with offerings.2015-04-28A ceremonial stage scene in a temple-style hall with a deep maroon curtain backdrop and garlands of red, yellow and white flowers hanging on golden poles and a swing-like frame. A man seated cross-legged on the left wears a gold crown, a rudraksha-style necklace, a pink-and-white flower garland, gold armbands and a brown-and-gold cloth, with a calm smile. Two attendants stand centre and right: one in white dhoti with a gold border and bare upper body, marked with white paste, carrying a large gold-cloth bundle; the other in an orange dhoti and orange shawl with an orange head-wrap, also bare-chested and marked with white paste, reaching to take the bundle.2017-08-13 +1 copiesApril 28 20152015-04-28April 28 20152015-04-28October 10 20162016-10-10Stage photograph at a satsang before a deep red velvet curtain and two gilded thrones with red cushions. The central deity wears a tall gold crown with a red band and a jewelled necklace, and sits on a green cushioned seat under a green canopy. Two priests in white dhotis and bare upper bodies stand on either side; the left priest wears a green and gold headwrap and holds a gold-bordered cloth to the deity, while the right priest wears a gold cap and holds the other end of the cloth. Gilded ceremonial panels, brass oil lamps and a gold-framed backdrop surround the scene. The arrangement suggests a Meenakshi Thirukalyanam wedding ritual, with the cloth offering.2015-10-18Two bare-chested priests in white dhotis stand at the back of a golden-framed throne, holding a white cloth over a deity murti seated in front of a green curtain. The murti has a gold face, a red crown, a silver-and-jewelled necklace and garlands of white and yellow flowers. One priest wears a green-and-gold turban and a gold-bordered shawl, while the other wears a gold cap and a purple-bordered sash. Both wear gold armlets and bracelets. Marigold and rose garlands drape the throne. This appears to be an abhishekam or alankaram ritual.2015-10-18
