A photograph of the ornate red and gold gateway of a Tibetan Buddhist monastery, with a golden finial and a sign reading Tibetan Buddhist Monastery. Behind the gate rises a multi-storey temple building with red columns, balconies and painted murals. A crowd of people walks through the entrance: a man in an orange shirt at left, a woman in white and several men in white kurtas and dark trousers, one holding a camera, and a woman in a white top carrying a bag near the centre. A small child in a striped shirt stands in front. A rickshaw and a street stall appear at the edges.

Colourful prayer flags stretch in lines from the spire to surrounding poles. In the foreground a tall red and orange banner flies beside a white balustrade. Several visitors walk and sit on the terraces, and a person in a yellow shirt stands at the bottom right. A small statue sits on a plinth near the stairs, and a few birds fly above the dome.

A photograph of a small pale-grey temple structure with red and yellow decorative bands and several gold finials along its roofline, set open-fronted on a raised plinth with blue doors at the back. A tall red-and-white lattice telecom tower rises directly behind it under an overcast sky. In the foreground, a handful of children stand on a grassy path beside a black iron railing, with trees and low buildings at the left edge. No a person candidate is visible.

A photograph of the Badrinath temple complex in the Himalayan town, seen from above over corrugated tin roofs. The temple has a painted facade in red, blue, yellow and gold with a gilded domed roof, a golden kalasha-topped shikhara, and a mini-dome above the entrance. Pilgrims in light and dark clothing climb a stone staircase toward the doorway, and small red flags flutter on the right. Pink and white houses surround the shrine, and a cable runs across the foreground.
