November 17 20112011-11-17Photograph of a group of men seated cross-legged on a wooden floor in a meditation or breathing-practice session. In the foreground a shaved-headed man in white dhoti and shawl with gold border, wearing a rudraksha mala, presses his fingers to his nose in a nasal breathing gesture with eyes closed. Beside him another shaved man with white forehead markings and glasses performs the same gesture. Behind them, men in orange and white garments with gold-bordered cloth, rudraksha malas and gold bangles sit with hands raised to their faces. A red curtain and white wall form the backdrop.2011-12-10January 16 20122012-01-16October 01 20112011-10-01October 27 20112011-10-27Several men sit cross-legged on a white marble floor performing a ritual with brass plates. Most are bare-chested, wearing white dhotis with gold borders, and have white sacred ash marks on their foreheads and bodies. The man in front wears rudraksha malas and has a white tilak and tends small brass bowls holding flower petals, pink flowers and leaves on a mesh cloth. Beside him an older man with white hair sits on a red and orange cloth with pink flowers and offerings. Other men with orange or rudraksha necklaces sit nearby, and a seated woman in a yellow sari cradles a small child in the background. Steel serving counters and framed deity images stand behind them.2017-07-25September 27 20112011-09-27 +1 copiesKAILASA FAMILIA PORTUGUESA, PORTUGAL on 1/13/20182018-01-13 +1 copiesFour men sit in a row with palms pressed together in namaskar and eyes closed, in a devotional gathering. The next man has white tripundra markings on his forehead and arms and wears white cloth. Two younger men further right also wear white garments with maroon edging and fold their hands. At the right edge, a figure in saffron-orange robes sits partly visible. Bronze and brass vessels sit in the lower foreground near bare feet.2011-09-25October 23 20112011-10-23November 04 20112011-11-04Several men in plain white ritual clothes sit on a floor mat with their palms pressed together in namaskar, eyes closed, in a devotional gathering. The central figure is shaved-headed and wears thin-rimmed glasses, a rudraksha mala, a gold bangle and a white upper cloth with gold-coloured edges. Others beside him have white vibhuti or tilak marks on their foreheads and arms. Behind them a red wall and a man in a pale green kurta sit in the background. No one visible is distinctively identifiable as a person by appearance cues, so the presence of a person candidate is unsure. The setting suggests a pada puja or satsang moment.2011-11-04
