July 01 20112011-07-01A photograph of a group of people standing in a shaded outdoor garden beneath large banyan-like trees with hanging aerial roots. Many attendees wear white clothing; several women in white salwar kameez stand with hands folded, a man in a white shirt and a woman in a red bag stand in the foreground, and a child in a white t-shirt stands at left near a clear acrylic stand and a small heap of red flowers on a cushion. A young girl in a red dress is at the right edge. The group appears to be standing in quiet reverence facing the same direction, with sunlight dappling the sandy ground and a red-orange building visible through the foliage.2011-07-01July 01 20112011-07-01November 21 20112011-11-21November 21 20112011-11-21Outdoor photograph of a large crowd gathered beneath a broad, spreading banyan tree with aerial roots hanging from its branches. Most attendees wear white kurtas, white shirts and white sarees, with some in yellow and teal; a few wear garlands. A man in the foreground at right, in a white shirt with a garland, stands with his back to the camera facing the group. Woven mats lie on the ground at lower left. The scene suggests a gathering around a sacred tree, though no specific ritual is visibly confirmed.2009-12-02Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with many aerial roots. A line of devotees, mostly dressed in white, stands with palms pressed together in namaskar near the tree trunk, some with eyes closed. Several women wear white saris with coloured borders, one wears a bright blue salwar kameez, and a woman in the centre wears a pink and white shawl. Men wear white kurtas and pants, some with lanyards. A white pole stands at left and a red cloth with offerings lies at lower right. Concrete paving and a low wall surround the area. No identifiable a person figure is clearly visible in this scene.2009-06-17Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with dense aerial roots and spreading branches. A shaved-headed sannyasi in orange robes stands at right, seen from behind, holding a microphone while addressing the group. Around him a crowd of about 20 people stands in white and light clothing, several with hands pressed together in prayer or folded in front, including a woman in a white top and cream trousers at centre and a woman in a green sari at lower centre. A girl in a white top and a schoolbag, and a small child, stand at left. Dappled green light falls across the scene.2011-07-01Outdoor photo on a dirt path shaded by green trees, with a long line of devotees standing on both sides. In the foreground a young woman in a white sari with a gold border and an orange shawl holds a tray with white flower garlands. Behind her a row of men in white dhotis and white shirts, some with white ritual scarves, stand near a white-covered table. On the right, women in white and orange saris stand facing the path, and an elderly woman in a white sari stands on the path. A small child in a pink shirt stands beside the tray. The scene looks like a ceremonial welcome lined up along an ashram road, and no clearly identifiable a person figure is visible.2008-07-27June 01 20092009-06-01May 02 20182018-05-02Outdoor gathering of devotees in white ashram clothing seated and standing under a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots.
