Water runs down the lingam and the peetha. Behind it, rows of red and white stadium seating lead to a concrete building under construction with scaffolding. On the scaffolding, several people in white dhotis and clothing stand on a raised platform near the lingam, one wearing an orange garment, appearing to tend the lamp or ritual setup. The sky is pale blue with clouds.2010-11-21October 22 20102010-10-22 +4 copiesOctober 17 20102010-10-17A large black stone Shivalingam on a black yoni-peetha base stands in an open-air stadium with rows of red seats behind it. Three white-trimmed yellow-orange flower garlands hang on its base, and water flows down its surface. A raised metal platform with stairs holds several people in white dhotis and white clothing, and one man in orange-saffron robes stands at the top pouring or sprinkling liquid over the lingam, consistent with an abhishekam. Unfinished concrete buildings rise behind the stadium under a bright blue sky with clouds.2010-11-21November 18 20132013-11-18Photo 11737498June 07 20132013-06-07A large black stone Shivling stands in a shallow pool of water at an outdoor temple complex, decorated with marigold and white flower garlands and a carved face on the base, with water jets spraying around it. Several people wade in the water around the platform, including a man in white clothes near the front and a child in the water to the right. Behind the pool are red tiered seating stands, a partly built concrete structure with rebar, and a metal staircase, under an overcast sky.2010-07-26April 25 20132013-04-25
